Medi Weightloss is a realistic program and it works. I get the weekly guidance I need and I am…read morenever made to feel ashamed by set backs or being stuck in a rut. D is the best counselor for me and her care is genuine. The staff is the most wonderful, kindest group of awesome woman that I've ever met. I really love them all. The space is clean although the furnishings are a bit drab and old and even though the scales work, they seem to be falling apart. The one big downside for me is there is NO PRODUCT, rather a minimal smattering. I rely on supplementing my diet with some Medi products and I can't get them in Plainville which is a shame. I work around it though, the Wellesley office has their shelves stock full. Plus mail order, but that takes time. Who likes to wait these days.

The staff are very kind and caring. The issue I have is with the program itself. I'm sure it works…read morefor some people, but definitely doesn't for me. It is an extremely restrictive keto diet that is not sustainable. If you have any sort of disordered eating history, I do not recommend. They offer some medications and supplements (all of which are their brand). The only appetite suppressant they offer is phentermine, which is a stimulant that can cause heart palpitations, increased anxiety and psychosis, not to mention is also has abuse potential as it is chemically similar to amphetamines. Overall, it felt like a marketing ploy to buy all of their products to ensure your success. If you are considering making an appointment, I encourage you to approach it with a skeptic view and consult all your doctors before starting any medications or supplements they recommend. If you are struggling with weight management, I suggest looking into seeing a doctor that specializes in it, such as a bariatric physician or endocrinologist. When seeing a healthcare provider, they should not be encouraging you to buy their specific products. I personally find it unethical to be advising patients on their health and then also be profiting off the treatments you recommend. I know its legal and is done with many other medications and parts of healthcare, but how it is done here is blatant and excessive.

The nurses are really kind but I have had a lot of problems with the doctors and reception. They are constantly rescheduling my appointments, sometimes the same day. They have no patience or understanding for when I need to reschedule. Almost every time I go I see a different doctor. Only had the same one for two out of my 8 appointments. The other 6 appointments were 6 different doctors. This inconsistency has caused several problems with ordering and refilling the weight loss meds I'm supposed to take. Which brings me to my final issue. The staff do not listen when I say I want a different medicine despite giving several reasons for asking for a change and there being plenty of other choices for me to try. They give no good reason for refusing the changes other than let's try a higher dose.

I called about 10 minutes into the appointment and let them know, they said it was too late to come in. That part I understand. They told me I couldn't come in again without paying them $200 missed appointment fee. The appointment was for an office procedure that takes a few minutes to set up and maybe five minutes to administer. They REFUSED TO TREAT ME WITH A MEDICALLY NECESSARY TREATMENT until I paid them that $200!!! In case you are curious, here are their cancellation fees (if you have to cancel with less than 72 hours notice start looking for a new provider or show up with a not insignificant amount of cash available): $200 for procedure (even if it takes less than 10 minutes) $100 for an Initial Evaluation $50 for a follow-up appointment While I waited for my last appointment there, I could clearly hear the patient in the next room sharing very personal details and they weren't talking loudly because our rooms were only separated by a hollow door and there was loud banging grunting and yelling from the floor above which houses a day program for adults with significant developmental challenges. This place is awful.

The Doc listens to your concerns and develops a plan. After really a thorough battery of test another consultation, the plan is explained in detail. I am now down 89 pounds. I am no longer on blood pressure medicine and my a1c numbers have dropped significantly. I feel stronger and have a lot more energy. I go to IM as a supplement to my family physician as cookie cutter medicine did not have the answers I needed. My primary care physician was impressed with the testing that Dr. Petteruti performed and really impressed with the results. So much so that I only need to see her once a year. One issue I had that IM's testing showed was a high level of heavy metals. As my career was spent in manufacturing, that is not surprising. The chelation IV drips are addressing that issue. Again, my primary care doc is all on board with Dr. Petteruti's treatments. Big box medicine addresses symptoms in a wack -a- mole methodology. Dr. Petteruti addresses the root cause to help you be heathy.
