Things happen and life happens so I would not be complaining if it had taken 2 or even three months but 6 is truly unacceptable. On a day he did show up He may show up for a few hours and then will be gone again. You know how when you are dealing with this kind of situation you don't want to rock the boat and try to be nice and patient to avoid conflict, well that is what we did for nearly a half a year. We were told we had a 10 year warranty on his work but as soon as he was paid he never showed up for some small details that still needed to be taken care of. He ghosted us and never responded to our messages or calls. I will say that he did have some good solutions for some of the outside problems we needed to solve and the work that he did looks good. Now for the inside painting. IT WAS A DISASTER! He had his wife and daughter also helping and they were just painting willy nilly with no rhyme or reason so of course it was patchy. Not all of the trim was taped off so now our trim is very rough where it wasn't and small particles fell on the trim. Since the color was white it thankfully doesn't look bad but when you use the hand rail or go to clean the base boards you can clearly feel it. I asked them to fix it but that never happened at the end of the project either. It ended up taking 6 coats and we used the very best paint so you can imagine how much money went on to the walls. We also had to pay him extra for so many coats. He blamed it on Sherwin Williams top of the line paint. On the positive side the dry wall repair was done well. We had not originally planned on having him do this painting job but since our materials were special order and there was a mistake we had to wait for materials so I asked him if he was interested in doing this as it would give him something to do until more materials came in a week later. ***We had a painter come out a few years ago to paint our kitchen and dinning room. It was the exact paint she was painting over and the exact paint she painted with and with one coat it looked good but I wanted two coats so that was done. It was a smooth process, in and out the same day and the area was much larger with just one person doing the entire job. The two photos posted are how he left our 2nd story gutters after he put up the siding. My husband is nearly 70 and afraid of heights so could not fix it. We reached out over and over with these photos and video by text messages with zero response. We finally got a few guys from my husband's work to come out and fix the gutters for us and they just shook their heads finding it hard to believe he would leave it this way. He was also supposed to come back and do some minor repair and maintenance to our front door and that never happened. Not sure how his 'so called' 10 year warranty works when he does not even show up for the final details. Also please be aware if you hire him he will only accept cash.
