Thank goodness for a quality talk show station. Beck, Howie and I've been such a huge fan of Charlie, Ernie and Lisa for years.

95 Triple X is a guilty pleasure of mine. There, I said it - you happy? I am 30 now, living in…read morethe land of VPR and liberal media, and nothing makes me happier than bopping along on my drive into work in the morning, listening to teenie bopper music and the witty humor of Jamie, Chantal, and Joe. The station replays popular songs to death but even they seem to joke about it. The only thing I miss is every Friday Mike (who Jamie replaced) would play the "Good Day" song. It totally made my Friday that much more awesome and memorable. I looked forward to it each week. I'll admit, though, I only listen in the morning. The evening DJ's can be crass and rude. Besides, everything in moderation including moderation, right?

This morning's stories were about climate change and the war in Ukraine followed by Fresh Air. Interesting news and because it's not funding season, very few interruptions or commercials. And then a bit of classical music which was a nice break. If WRVT broadcasts any locally generated material, I don't know. [Review 18477 overall - 76 in Vermont - 1999 of 2022.]

This radio station group sponsored a marketing event in which they auctioned items from…read moreadvertisers, and accepted the $ in payment. It was not a charity event. Last year I bought three ski tickets through this auction and paid the radio station. Gave them as Christmas gift to my husband, who misplaced them until this year. When he went to the ski area, they declined the certificates and the radio station reminds me that on the vouchers it did say they were good only during that season. This is true, so obviously it is our fault that they have the money and we have nothing. There is obviously no concern for the fact they did get paid - for nothing. Therefore, I would warn any other potential participants in the "Great Radio Auction" to be very careful when using it. Buyer beware.

If you have read any of my previous posts you know that I am a customer service queen and Pop Color hits the customer service nail on the head. Print houses can be intimidating to a new designer and on top of that, I'm a self-taught one. Printing quality projects presents a whole other level of education and knowledge, Francine at Pop Color helped me right along. Her patience and willingness to show me how to set things up properly and understand a bit more about printing really had a positive impact on my experience and my design knowledge. I felt welcomed and appreciated. The print projects I have had printed here have been high quality, I have yet to have a better experience in the greater Burlington area.

There are several companies that publish a calendar featuring the Adirondack Mountains, but we've always thought theirs was the best both in terms of sheer beauty of the photos, and because they tend to feature landscapes beyond just the more famous High Peaks. I've typically bought the calendars in book or specialty stores, but it can be hit or miss. They sell out really quickly, and this year I wasn't going to spend a lot of time going through a lot of stores. So I figured I'd go directly to their website... 60 seconds later the calendars were in my shopping cart, and I decided to browse their other products. Among their other products, I like the clothes the best, especially the T-shirt designs... not so much $27.95 for a coffee mug or $110 for a magazine rack though. They ship what you order by Priority Mail. As far as I could tell, that was my only option, and I don't think that's always necessary, But I certainly appreciated knowing that I would get the gifts I ordered on a very timely basis during the holiday season.
