Wanting to see what Belgians' take on hotdogs, we landed on here because we were an indecisive group and might as well right? What happened really surprised me as far as what it was, and to be honest I felt as if it was better than what they offered in America just because it was so creative! Wurst pretty much takes the idea and base of hotdogs/bratwursts and just mixes tastes. Want a wurst that's based off of a tex mex flavor? They have that. How about one that sounds like something that would sound like a great sandwich with pesto? Yeah that's there too. We got the Sauerkraut and the Bellucci. Both of them were very unique and something I have ever had before. It was very creative as far as something so simple such as bratwurst/hot dogs to something with different types of flavors with the toppings. I mean honestly, pesto with hotdogs? Yeah, that's kind of crazy. Overall, I thought Wurst was excellent. I thought it was kind of pricey, but it wasn't a small amount of food. I could see myself coming back here next time I'm in Leuven and tired of moules-frites (that's a hard task itself!). read more

Delicious, yummy and extra ordinary haute dogs!!! We were walking around and saw the prices which is quite reasonable which comes with a salad and potatoes! Quite out of this world with the choice of haute dog you choose. The bun... not a normal bun, there is corn bread bun... what?! Yup it's delish! The flavors are intense, explosion of wow! The whole experience was 4.5 *'s rounded up. The dogs were definitely good - my wife got a chili dog on a corn bread bun, and I got a bernaise dog with bacon and cabbage, both were excellent, at 9 EUR. Kids can get unadorned dog for 3 EUR which is a great deal - one got a merguez dog and loved it. I got a Super Kroon Pale Ale in the bottle - more proof that the American cascade hop is decidedly taking over modern Belgian brewing. It was a total sausage fest! And for once, I liked that. Fantastic hot dogs (called haute dogs). Very surprising recipes, some with Italian, Mexican or Indian twist. Tasted the Maharadja, Caesar, belucci, and sauerkraut. All very unique taste and all delicious. Personal favorite was the Sauerkraut. Ambiance is super cool. Trendy interior, laid back music, nice staff. Come here for a half-hour meal, not to sit down for hours. Get's very crowded during lunch or dinner hours. Great experience! Cool and hip place and an awesome concept of making the Hot Dogs a Haute Cuisine dish. Really tasty buns and sausages and garnishes that really work together. Not bad but overly complicated and priced on the high side, you might think 8-9 euro's is OK for high quality/rated food, but like all haute cuisine everything you get is a bit small, the haute dog is a bit small but they fill the bun with all sorts of ingredients. You can see them throwing the ingredients on there it just falls of everytime you try to take a bite out of it. The hot dogs are great, but a tad overpriced. The service is also great so that makes up for the overpricing.

Been there last week. The beef dog was terrible with hard pieces of fat. The buns were hard so it was very hard to eat with the poor knives they had in place. Corn bread is almost never available so they just give you what they have. Tried also the vegetarian dog that was just fried. They don't even try to make it look like a real hot dog. In general was a disappointment and won't return there. read more
