This is one of the preferred locations in Aalen for a Saturday morning breakfast. I myself broke ranks and ordered the English Breakfast, which was an okay decision. The food itself was tasty enough, but it wasn't what I'd call authentic. Still, tasty.
This is also a preferred location in Aalen for an evening coffee, or to have a relaxed cocktail before going to a more happening location.
Service is friendly and laid back, which is my way of saying that I thought it was slow until I realised that I was in the quiet town of Aalen, where shops close at 1PM on Saturdays. So, no, it isn't slow per se, just...laid back.
So why only three instead of four or five? Food was good, but not stellar. Coffee was good, but not great, though I do give props for pouring a proper latte macchiato. Prices seem a little high.
I do have to heartily recommend the Austrian Walnut Bread. That is a fine bread and you would upgrade your breakfast/brunch experience significantly by ordering a basket of just that.
