Reservations highly recommended at this restaurant. We were able to get in one of only two timeslots that were left on a midweek night! Nearby parking garage makes for easy access. Located in the heart of downtown Bentonville there is plenty of traffic so plan accordingly. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. A nice saki menu and as pleasant as our server was, they were not very familiar with the offerings of their menus. Food offerings spanned traditional (that will suit all) to some really interesting items for a unique experience. The mirin/sake marinated cod was amazing. Duck fried rice, excellent, and the mushroom tempura appetizer was truly a memorable experience with a great sauce. I had a birthday dinner at Wu Zhao and the food was delicious. I am vegan, so I look for reassurance from the wait staff related to which options were vegan, and my waiter wasn't really informed on the menu... but after conferring with the waiter (and one of the other waiters) we were able to order a few of the vegan options from the menu which were very tasty. The rest of the table had their choice of the menu, and it didn't disappoint. The drink menu was also very diverse, and everyone was pleased with their cocktails. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice as well. I'll certainly be back, and it will be one of the places that I'll schedule business dinners when I have colleagues in from out of town. read more

Finally got to try this spot after hearing mixed reviews and I'm glad I went to see from myself. I truly enjoyed the warm, low light and intimate vibes, coupled with the modern take on Asian-inspired decor. Our waitress was great and able to answer our many questions about the Sake menu. Visited this restaurant tonight based on the high number of reviews online as being the best dumpling/sushi restaurant in town. The place is beautifully designed with pink cherry blossom trees in the middle of the restaurant. I would start with some of my favorites that I ordered here the garlic soy edamame, miso soup, and the imperial crunch roll were my favorite as far as flavor and presentation. The spicy wontons however although it had a great flavor came a bit uncooked so I had to ask my waiter to reheat them again. Although my waiter Jose was super kind the Service was a bit slow. I was also a bit upset at first as I had made a reservation at the main dining room but the lounge was offered instead. The vibe of the place was really cool. Excellent, just absolutely excellent. It's gorgeous on the inside and this is a place for family, dates, even a place to mingle. It's an upscale Asian restaurant and we loved every bit of it. We started with edamame and asked if they could make it spicy. They did and it was outstanding. For my meal, ordered the prawn and lobster dumplings and the spicy wontons. I'm still thinking about them after eating it yesterday. Both are a must try and perfectly done. My wife ordered the schezuan beef and my daughter has chicken fried rice. Both were amazing. I wish I could give it 3.5 stars. They need to work some kinks out but I think this place has potential. Our service was slow, I suspect our waiter had too many tables and the kitchen was slammed. The food was just ok: something wasn't quite right with our Peking duck, wasn't the exact right color, more grey than brown. A good Peking duck should be perfectly red/brown. The mushu chicken didn't have much flavor, thankfully the hoisin sauce was pretty good. The Calamari was really greasy like they didn't allow it to drop off adequately before serving. I didn't care for the dumplings and I love dumplings and dim sum generally. What they got right: the interior is beautiful. My cocktail was pretty good and not overly sweet, just right. The fried rice was really good. One of us ordered sushi and the sushi actually looked decent. Sushi in Bentonville is lacking except for the restaurant in the Motto Hotel so that is good. I hope the restaurant makes it as more restaurants in the downtown area are needed. read more

6 months ago this Location would have been 6 stars on a 5 star scale, easily a 1-2 times a month location, competes with some of the best Asian food I've had. My last 2 visits may make my monthly visits end. 1. They got rid of the Sweet and sour pork which was a favorite. 2. stuck with the Crispy beef and honey chicken, Portions went from piled high family style feeding 2-2.5 people to 1 dish per person. for the same price. The family style aligned with my understanding of Asian family culture. 3. The protein historically was large slices, extremely tender and Crisp on the outside yet moist on the inside. This time was the opposite, small pieces of meat, crisp but dry. With the smaller pieces the ratio of crisp to meat was off and the dryness made it chewy. 4. Sent one of the entrees back and the replacement came out the same. Was hoping the experience was a one off since the past it had been so good. Went back for my birthday and had the same results. Will stick with something like China cafe or Mr. Wok now most likely. My wife and I + parents (6 people total) would get out for the $100 range, for food not including Drinks. 2 mains + order of egg rolls + Fried rice. Overall, good. Party of five sampled several things... The best by far was the Empress Lobster dish. The fried rice was one of the best fried rice dishes I had in a while. Portions are Large. The premium dishes are very large (could easily share) Solid food and high quality but yes, it is pricey. Some appetizers don't seem worth it. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Never had Chinese food this good before. Sushi/Sashimi menu is really extensive (and seems high), but didnt try anything from it. It's a great option for groups and everything is meant for sharing so you can get a good sampling. I highly recommend the crispy rice, crispy spicy beef, and bao although you can't really go wrong with anything. If you order the duck, it is more similar to a roast duck vs the Beijing crispy duck. We had the prawn and lobster dumplings (there were 4 small ones), the braised beef bao buns (it came with 2 large buns), the Imperial crispy beef, and Zhao fried rice. Also had sweet and sour pork, firecrackers shrimp and a sushi roll. Pork was good. Shrimp was ok, and the roll was probably the best I've had in the NWA. Well, this is our first time at WuZhao we had a good server, but unfortunately, the food lacked flavor, even though they were large portions, I prefer a smaller amount with more depth. My husband had the Szechuan beef, I had the honey chicken and we also had the crispy rice, which was probably the best out of everything. My husbands old fashion could've been a bit more robust. After reading some not so pleasant reviews, we thought we should try it for ourselves. We were pleasantly surprised! Our party of 4 loved the place! The decor looks amazing. 5 stars for their thoughtfulness into the Chinese culture. Their Red Dragon Lounge is comfortable and inviting was a definitely a happening spot. It is family style eating which is always fun so you can try everyone's picks. Miso Cod is my fav. It was moist with baby bok choy which I love and didn't disappoint. The Sichuan Blistered Green Beans got devoured. For sushi, my favorite roll was the Honey Inferno which we ordered a 2nd one. It is not too spicy which I was glad. Just add wasabi and soy sauce and you get the salty and sweet combo which is a perfect bite. The Hokkaido Scallops with truffle and caviar was buttery and so delicious! Presentation so cute! Considering this restaurant is still new I didn't want to focus on the service (which was great) or how long it took for the food to come out. I mainly wanted to review about the price vs quality of food that came out. I feel like this is just a Bentonville restaurant making things more pricey even though the food does not match the price. Me and a friend ordered a drink each, an appetizer, a sushi roll, and the Szechuan beef. That came out to be $120. If the food was mind-blowing Chinese/Japanese food then I could justify the price. But it sadly was just decently good. I have for sure been to hole in the wall Chinese restaurants that have served better for cheaper prices. The Szechuan beef also didn't really taste like Szechuan, just a good marinated beef. I would not go again mainly because I know I can get better tasting food at nearby places for that price. All that to say I was wanting to like this place and have a good Chinese food option. Hopefully it can get better as it gets more established! read more
