Dependable quality work on our barn roofs. Came on time, worked hard, and cleaned up after.

He might try to hide and act like it never happened but I hired digital investigations to recover all their deleted texts and other information and I can tell you that it did happen. We lost our oldest son just 3 months before this happened and she was in a terrible place, so I don't blame my wife. And the last week of their affair she lost her step-dad too. What she didn't need was a contractor texting and calling her all the time telling her how pretty her smile was and how he missed seeing her pretty face. She didn't need him telling her they should just hang out and chill. She didn't need him asking her to meet him for a drink sometime. How he wanted to make-out and other stuff. She didn't need him telling her how much he wanted her. She didn't need him actually meeting for a drink. And a few days after her step-dad passed away, she definitely didn't need him meeting her, getting her drunk and getting a motel room staying out all night. It's where he left his sweater. (All this happened over labor day weekend) Which is how I caught them because after 27 years of marriage she has never been anywhere away from me overnight. You played on her emotions and her vulnerability and took advantage of her. Now I'm not sure if he's done this in the past, if you hired him you might want to check your wife's texts; but as a husband I have to warn other possible husbands that this happened to me, so they can make a better decision about who they hire as a contractor. I regret the day I told my wife to give Damon a call to do her mother's floors. He has no morals!

I had the extreme misfortune of hiring Joseph Remaly of J&M Construction ( J & M Construction ), a…read moreroofing contractor based out of Bloomsburg, PA, to replace the roof on my home in Danville, PA. I experienced many of the same problems of delays and working into the night the previous reviewer noted, but the bigger issue is that within a week of completion of work by Joseph Remaly's team, I had a leak. Within two weeks after a deluge of rain, I had four leaks which caused more than $4,000 in damage to the interior of my home. Joseph Remaly was unresponsive when I called him about the first leak and hung up on me when I called him after the night of heavy rain causing extensive leaks and water damage in my home. I was able to find a reputable local contractor who examined the work of Joseph Remaly's team, and provided the following professional analysis: * The roof installed by Joseph Remaly was incorrect for the style of roof, needed to be removed, and a new roof installed using the proper materials. * The wall end flashing Joseph Remaly used was reused material, and the holes in the metal were not filled with sealant. * The materials around the four-inch stack were secured with staples, but were not sealed. * Gutter straps were nailed through the roofing material, but were not sealed. * Flashing along the wall was secured with drywall screws. * Rolled roofing had fish mouth, a result of being incorrectly installed and not secured to the next sheet. I am currently pursuing legal action against Joseph Remaly (J&M Construction) in small claims court. I am a senior citizen with plans to sell my home and use the proceeds of the sale of my home to fund my housing costs. The roof replacement was intended to make the home more attractive to potential buyers. Because of the shoddy work of Joseph Remaly and his crew, not only do I have to pay to have another roof installed on a fixed income, but my home has suffered significant interior damage which must be repaired as well as cosmetic damage which will undoubtedly make my home less appealing to buyers. I encourage anyone considering hiring Joseph Remaly of J&M Construction to look elsewhere.

On 9/15/21 we signed a contract and gave him a now cashed check.  He said he would start work in two weeks, once the metal arrived.  His crew stripped, papered and sheeted the roof on 10/27/21. His crew did significant damage to the surrounding roof and guttering system. The roof leaked immediately. He tried unsuccessfully 3 or 4 times to stop the significant leak that has caused boards to warp and puddles to form on the porch. He would show up at odd hours, sometimes working till 9:00 PM. These leaks continue today. He returned with the metal on 12/3/21. He installed some of it. On 12/17/21 he installed the "valleys." I was concerned it was not installed correctly, and he used the wrong tool to cut the metal. On 12/20/21 I  spoke with and sent photos to the manufacturer who said it was incorrect and sent an installation manual.  In looking at it, I noticed he had used sheeting that is too thin. His supplier told me that there had been two orders, the first was in the wrong color. He never showed for a meeting scheduled for early morning on 12/21/21 On 12/22/21 we spoke at length. We discussed multiple items on a checklist I gave him, including the need to use butyl tape. I also gave him the pertinent pages, annotated, dealing with the "valleys." I also emailed him the entire 22 page manual. In the interim he did more work, again not as directed.  I questioned him repeatedly about his using Butyl tape.  He said he would fix it, but continued to use the wrong product. The metal has been bent, scratched, walked on, and warped. I had multiple reputable people look at his work, they concur that it is not installed correctly. As of 1/13/22 it still leaks, the gutter is still not fixed. I have had to hire someone to finish the job, as he would not follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Hired this crew to begin work in May '22 to extend our deck, add a roof over it, reshuffle the entire roof and reside the entire house. By the end of July/ early August, we STILL did not have a deck to pass codes inspections per the town codes. The inspector failed their "work" multiple times and questioned if they were even capable/competent to do the work. They ruined our yard--holes dug, grass ruined, crewmen's personal garbage and materials thrown around the yard left to ruin and rot. We had to fight to get the money we actually did get back, but they should have had to return more. We now lost 4 months of time and aggravation, a lot of money and are now stuck with hiring ANOTHER contractor to rip off redo the deck due ti their ignorance and ruining the existing deck! I have pictures and videos of this nightmare they caused us-welcome to ask and we will gladly share.

He left materials in garage even though he said they had to be brought inside to get accustomed to the humidity. When removing much of the trim work to paint, they broke many pieces and charged me to replace them. He stained them and they came out completely different in color. If I hadn't had said anything, he would have let it go. The paint was sub par, you could see many of the roller marks. The transitions put in place on the floor are horrible. Straight cuts without evening trying to blend it in. The front door was left bare where bottom meets floor. He put caulking down to "fix" it. That is not how you properly fix it. He left some spots on the floor uneven and my floor sinks a little bit in more than one spot. Save your money for someone who cares about their work. His price was right where the other contractors prices were.
