    I love this bank (WSECU in general) but this branch is really nice and clean. Great customer service. Very fast and efficient.

    Do not bank at the Lakewood, WA Bank of America. Shaylene Miranda one of their so-called managers…read moreis terrible. She is extremely condesceding and disrespectful to everyone. I have spoken to several of my colleagues and all of them have left BOA for a local credit union after their personal experience at this branch and more specifically with Shaylene. When I described my encounter with her, they all laughed as they shared similar stories. I have been with BOA since 1997 and am a preferred client; however, the unprofessional manner in which I was dealt with has caused me to choose to bank elsewhere (directly across the street at WSECU. It is clear that BOA does not value its clients, nor does it care that their staff (Shaylene Miranda) treat people in such a callous, disdainful manner. Perhaps, when they continue to have clients pull their money, BOA will make the necessary changes. It is disheartening that this woman can get away with her brazen, contemptuous behaviors. DO BETTER BANK OF AMERICA . . . getting rid of Shaylene Miranda would be a good start!!!

They have the line barriers (roped off area corrals) that loop around like you'd see at Disneyland. Customer service reps are multitasking, for instance counting dollars while talking to you, and their friendliness is on par with some of the worst customer service I've experienced. It's always a wait, regardless of activity. I have yet to experience a pleasant transaction at this branch. The best they have to offer is ATMs outside.

A young man named Mike said he could notarize papers, and then when he looked through our papers, he made all the excuses you can think of of why he was not comfortable notarizing even a single paper, He never asked to see our IDs just looked at the papers and had a cannot do attitude the whole way ! I left saying I will review this branch again and I do not like this branch. That's why I avoid it! Every time there's a problem. ! We left and drove immediately over to the Lakewood branch and had a very pleasant successful experience there and got our papers notarized which should have been the case at the Steilacom branch! When I come in, she treats me badly if I say anything other than hello. On Friday,I was discussing products with an employee since I was considering opening an account. The manager saw me, assumed we were small talking and slammed chef keys on her desk twice while glaring at me. I thanked the staff member for the information and promptly left. Since when does discussing business during business hours become a bad thing. Not a welcoming atmosphere. Although I like the staff, if I didn't work so close I would do my work banking at another office. All commercial banks offer pretty much the same products. Customer service is the only thing they have to offer. I wish she would acknowledge that fact. Then I might reconsider opening an account.

    I have multiple major problems with this bank. When my husband and I opened our checking account…read morewith them, the customer service was excellent. But our issues started as soon as I received my first debit card about a week after my husbands came in, the laminate had peeled from the corner and made the chip impossible to read straight out of the envelope. I showed them the brand new card and they ordered a new one. Another 3 weeks later, I get my card but no pin so I had to go into the bank AGAIN and get that changed. Now that I had a new card, I used it at my local grocery store and another issue arose, their machines don't read Umpqua chips SO every time I go to Albertsons, I have a 50/50 chance that it won't work. Those are the issues with JUST the card. My next issues come with the online banking portion. Their servers are down CONSTANTLY (I'd say 2 to 3 times a month) on not only the website, but the mobile app as well. There's no customer service line, just some terrible automated service that doesn't offer the help I need half the time. I try calling the specific bank but all their numbers redirect to the automated line. Despite all these issues, I've been dealing with them for a few years and their only redeeming quality is their customer service which has recently fallen by the wayside. If I don't get my regular tellers, I don't have a positive experience. The new employees this branch has hired are not as friendly and personable as the original tellers. I've never waited in the drive thru window longer than 60sec before someone acknowledges me even with customers in the lobby UNTIL recently. Now I can proudly say I waited at the drive thru for 5min, WATCHING THE NEW TELLER WALK BY MULTIPLE TIMES AVOIDING EYE CONTACT WITH ME THE ENTIRE TIME. I went into the lobby and there were 2 customers at the front, and 2 tellers (one new chick and the manager). Not as busy as 90% of the time I go into the drive thru. Overall, this bank sucks. If you want a stable banking system with a consistently positive experience, go to Harborstone or BECU. I've never had any issues with my previous banks, Umpqua has proven to be completely subpar and their free coffee and cookies aren't winning me over anymore. I'll be switching soon.
