There is some parking right outside on the road however it is limited and unfortunately people usually don't leave enough room infront/behind their car for you to fit in! The post office offers the usual services as well as a cash machine, packaging items and a small range of food and drink. Service is very friendly and the three members are all family making the service very personal.

There are a variety of household essentials including things like light bulbs, fuses, cleaning materials etc. Staff are friendly and you know you will get a good service from a small family run store.

I was appalled at her tone. I asked to speak with the manager and was shocked to hear she was the manger/proprietor. It would be a shame to lose such a useful service to the local community but some people are not cut out for customer-facing roles. This perosn is one of them. As a venue for events, it has a lovely outside courtyard, perfect for warm evenings and photos opportunities. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the layout of the facilities were excellent. One major memory that has to be mentioned are the super strength hand driers in the toilets!!

The library also offers free internet access, although it is recommended that you book use of a PC over the phone first. A Job Point terminal for job vacancies as well as a colour photocopier & fax are also provided. There is a children's corner and regular events held for both children & adults. The staff are very helpful and there are automatic doors allowing easy access for wheelchairs & buggies. There are also rooms for hire & a counter service where I pay my council tax saving me having to queue at the post office or council offices.

The house was typical National Trust with informative guides located around the house to provide information when needed, and plenty of exhibits to give you a feeling of time gone by. The children were given a quiz sheet to keep their interest and they learnt a lot as they went round the house. Outside were beautiful grounds, lots of space to walk round at leisure and to give the children chance to run around. We took a picnic with us, but supplemented this with some wonderful locally made pork pies that we bought from the shop located at the entrance. The gift shop was well stocked, but the shop at the entrance took some beating with excellent produce to take away. If you took out National Trust membership, they refund your entrance fee, meaning that you could make significant savings if you wanted to visit other NT properties throughout the year - well worth doing.

It has the facility for you to withdraw money, you can get information and insurance adn of course you can post your letters. The downside is that thy do not open Sunday and close at 1pm on a Wednesday and 12pm on a Saturday
