I have been using this little Post Office for 6 years now, and have always been greeted in a polite and friendly manner by the various members of staff.
In addition to the usual Post Office staples such as stamp presentation packs, essential forms, greetings cards, etc. they also carry a good range of useful stationery such as copier paper, gift bags, packaging materials, notebooks etc. and even a nice selection of sweeties for the young ones.
Being a small branch there are occasionally queues at the counter, but the customers are always dealt with quickly, even without the aid of a customer number so and so automated public address system!
This branch recently held a petition to keep the office open, as it was
earmarked for possible closure by the powers that be. I am glad to say
that the staff and the concerned customers won the day, and that the branch continues to be a valued and very necessary part of life in this area of the city.
We should value small offices such as this highly, as once they are gone, they rarely get replaced. Should this branch be forced to close, it would leave the elderly and infirm with the unenviable task of trudging down to Anglia Square, where a larger branch is located.
ll in all then, highly recommended for the friendly atmosphere, good service and above all, accessibility for those folk who live locally. read more
