The beer was cheaper than UK pub prices for a bottle of Lech or Zwyeic, but twice the price of the off-license over the road! The White Eagle Club would be a great place for Polish food if you fancy a change one night. Otherwise I reckon it would be good to take a homesick Polish friend in need of meeting some countryfolk or just hearing some familar conversations, words and accents. Classic dishes (and personal favourites of mine!) include Gulasz (Goulash), Pierogi (dumplings) and Golabek Tradjcjny (stuffed cabbage leaves with pork and rice). There may not be a great wine list here but I'd recommend trying the delicious Tyskie Polish beer!
