Engaged D. Albanese as an electrician on a kitchen remodel and installed heating/cooling unit…read more Albanese quoted fixed fee to install heating/cooling unit. Installed compressor at inappropriate location causing unit not to operate properly. He realized it needed to be moved and then billed time and material costs to move it to proper place. He also charged time and materials for his other work and would not provide receipts for materials. Months later we had issues arising from the work D. Albanese performed causing a breaker to trip. We contacted him and he initially blamed the appliance. The appliance vendor came and noticed sparks. D. Albanese returned and said he did not see any issues. He switched outlets with a different appliance, which then began to trip the breaker also. Alerted D. Albanese who said he would come and address the problem. Four weeks later he had not come back nor contacted us. We hired a new electrician. Within a couple minutes he determined the issue. Albanese had stuffed electrical wires through a small sleeve in a concrete wall accommodating a steam heat pipe. The wire in question was burned and left exposed causing the breaker to trip. Thankfully the new electrician identified and repaired the problem before a fire or significant injury occurred.
