Another lady had been sat there for 26 hours with a suspected stroke before she was seen. All the hype about getting help quickly is no use as it does not happen. I saw Cariology nurse on October last year I am still waiting for my results. It is now the end of June. To say the hospital is nonfunctioning is an exageration. I have a terminal illness but that does not seem to matter as the Nurse said to me "Well after all you are 81" does that mean go home and die. It felt like it. They need in house training not University and then landing on a ward etc with no experience of people.

The parking is somewhat of a contentious issue as it now costs a £1 to attend and is controlled by a security firm. Spaces being limited during visiting times. There is a cafe with your ususal choices, lifts in good operating order and a local community police officer. Adjacent to the hospital which is known as Ysbwty Glan Clwyd or Y.G.C. is the Ablett Ward for the Mental Health Patients. The surrounding area is lovely with the Marble Church in Bodelwyddan a short distance away and the Faenal Fawr hospital next door.

Waiting times aren't a real problem not too long! The coffee shop is reasonably priced and run by polite+considerate volunteers, which you don't see everyday!

My 88 year old mum in law was admitted to the acute medical unit and was transferred to ward 14 the…read morenight before her discharge. My husband and I couldn't fault the care she received. The staff in both areas were really caring and attentive even though it was clear to see how busy they were. We were kept informed every step of the way and no question was treated as a silly question. Lovely staff.

It's handy having appointments to attend in town, as parking is usually tricky at hospitals and these two are no exception.

Without us knowing a Do Not Attempt Resuscitate order was put in his records. This is a disgraceful place and a death trap. The hospital also had the temerity to maintain my partner had had an operation. He had not had an operation. He died in terrible distress there and it is unforgivable. The hospital killed him with their terminal drugs and took away his time.
