We hired Ellensburg Solar for a residential solar install. While the physical installation appeared…read moreclean, multiple material substitutions were made without written change orders or documented approval. These included changes to panels, inverter count, combiner setup, and breaker types. After installation, I requested reconciliation between what was represented and billed versus what was installed. Over several months, I received inconsistent documentation and no clear itemized breakdown. Proposed remedies were conditional, including warranty limitations, which I declined. The contractor ultimately stopped working toward resolution. The experience has been painful, and we regret ever hiring them. Homeowners should ensure all substitutions are documented and approved in writing before installation.

Dwight introduced himself and then began talking about "flaming liberals," how "God has raised up trump," and all kinds of other evangelical proselytizing. I really liked this man. And, after his work was done, we talked. He did overcharge me for his mileage. That I can overlook. But, the hatred, racism stereotyping, sexism, and forcing his religious views on me guarantee I will not have him back. I do not choose to promote or pay for hate speech. Not now, not ever. I truly know he had no idea how inaccurate and false and offensive his actions were. But, as someone whose family had allotments on the Yakama reservation and who is an actual member of a tribe who still resides on THAT reservation, to have a white man from Yakima spouting such racism against my people was sickening. I will give him this.....he did a good job AND he listened when I gave him facts. But, leave your hatred and bigotry and fake Christianity at home.

My experience with Solar Wenatchee and Columbia Valley Electric isn't over. At this time, my review…read morefor the project manager would be "ZERO Stars" and for Columbia Valley Electric, "TWO Stars". I would be willing to bet that the project manager has never done an installation when both solar and grid power is available and I can assure you that he was learning the features and limitations of the hardware he recommended to me after the installation was completed. I will continue to update this post as my situation continues to develop but at this time, I strongly - strongly recommend that you find a different solar installation company than Solar Wenatchee and the installer, Columbia Valley Electric. Additionally, two out of the eight reviewers of Solar Wenatchee that you see on Google Reviews are either not customers and/or they are not third party individuals. If you'd like to discuss my situation in more detail, feel free to contact me.
