Before the event, I spoke with the owner, Numan, and we agreed on a total price of $10,000 cash, which had to be paid two weeks before the party. They would not accept a check or credit card, so I paid as requested. Unfortunately, during the event, the food ran out after serving only about 70 men and 60 women. Many of my guests did not receive any food. I immediately told Numan that there was not enough food. He left for about 25 minutes and then returned without any additional food. When I asked where the food was, he said he had called other restaurants but no one had any food available. I believe he actually went to his own restaurant, but regardless, he returned empty-handed. He then insisted there had been plenty of food, even though many of my guests had not been served. This experience was extremely disappointing and embarrassing, especially after paying $10,000 in advance. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Addye BBQ. I expected them to provide enough food for the number of guests we agreed upon and to take responsibility when there was a problem. Instead, I was left with many hungry guests and no solution.

After reading all of the reviews in its entirety, I strongly believe that the 5 starts are based upon their signature dishes. I really need to start with the customer service, it was trademark level, the gentleman taking my order, exceeded all of my expectations and delivered exceptional customer service and engagement. 5/5 and I would love to stop here, but I have to proceed with the entire visit. Walking in, the atmosphere seems pretty neat, offering countertop dining by standing and I discovered a very small cozy dining set-up on the Merrick Ave side entrance. There is not much to their decorations but the restaurant was bright and stocked well, more on that later. I ordered the Lamb Gyro to go, with the appropriate toppings and sauces. When I returned home to enjoy my lamb Gyro, ooohh boy ooohh boy, what a let down. The lamb Gyro was dry, salty, and very spicy. Who in the H. E. hockey sticks puts spicy sauce on a freaking Gyro. It was the worst Gyro ever. It left me with bubbly guts. I know TMI !!! I also ordered the cherry cream cheese cake and a carrot cake. I do need to mention the serious concerns for improvement, like when you are making the food and you leave it out on the counter waiting to add topping etc ... Make sure you don't have flies flying around landing on the food. I saw a fly do a touch and go like it was performing for an air show. See video! I won't be back to get there significant dishes or the burger as one Yelper advise. One star rounded up to two because of customer service but the other things mentioned kept it a low star review. In conclusion, I really didn't want to be that guy to give less than 5 stars, so I'll give mercy and say that this review is on the Lamb Gyro, Cherry cheese cake, and the carrot cake. So, I ordered the rice bowl with lamb and white sauce because all their toppings was raw and the corn is out of the can. The service was okay, nobody was in there. The ambiance looks just like all the other Halal spots. I would highly recommend them to cook some of their toppings and lastly tell them to change their gloves.
