They then said our maintenance price would remain but all other jobs (hedge cutting etc.) would be at the increased prices. As we only required maintenance, we accepted this offer and informed them. That evening we received an email from them saying, they understood that we would be looking elsewhere! We consider their behaviour to us to be both contemptible and despicable as they were fully aware of the situation they had left us in, and knowing full well that we are disabled o.a.p's.

Darren gave me an initial quote, which got higher as the original materials requested weren't…read moreavailable. For most of the job, lasting 2 weeks, the only people who were consistently on the job were a general labourer and a new employee who hadnt landscaped before but we were quoted for professional landscapers. As the job went on Darren changed the design and, as I thought, exchanged the patio tiles I had paid for in exchange for a composite walkway in the same material used for my patio, he changed the layout of the steps and the size of the deck. On completion there were numerous issues which Darren agreed were substandard as he had rushed the end of the job to finish to deadline. He then presented me with a bill for an additional £1500 on top of the £14000 I had already paid him. This was far in excess of his quote. We refused to pay as Darren could provide no invoices and had removed substantial excess materials from the property for use on other jobs, but finally after 5 months of argument Darren agreed to make good the problems F.O.C. That was in November and we are still waiting, despite pleading with him to come and make good on his promises. I hate leaving this review because his workers never stopped, in all weather's and Darrens ideas are lovely. Sadly, he cannot run his business effectively and if you hire him I'd warn you to check everything you you pay him for and gets itemized receipts for the materials. We paid £14000 for a town garden to be decked, flagged and astro turfed. We have since asked 2 other landscapers what we should have paid and they agreed the cost with labour should have been approx £9000!!!

Work shoddy nothing level no excavation done not laid straight and incorrect concrete mix used so no adhesion to the stone. Installed a drain run and did not plumb it into our waste water drain just left it to drain into the subsoil. When challenged about his work he began shouting and was abusive to the extent that the police were called and removed him from site. Do not use this guy he has no skill!

Avoid this cowboy firm at all costs. After spending a lot of time , effort and money defending ourselves in court an independent expert witness appointed by the court did a report stating that it would cost £4000 to rectify the many problems caused by there shoddy work. These included tiles falling off the steps, the rendering falling off the walls and the wrong type of cobbles lifting that had been laid incorrectly . Also we have had approximately 500 weeds and grass grow through the resin drive despite being told it would be maintenance free. We were duped from the start as they had a FAKE federation of master builders logo on there paperwork, they have never been a member !!
