My wedding was in March right before the COVID shutdown…read more Everyone I've talked to told me to be careful about which photographer to choose for the big day because those photos are a life long memory. I'll start and say that I'm very happy I chose Mika. (My mom also approved...which is a big deal!). Before the wedding day, we met briefly and Mika was very easy to talk to in terms of understanding what we wanted. She also was helpful in giving ideas. Closer to the big day, she provided a questionnaire / form asking which photos I wanted, when, and where. I explained to her that my family is atypical / complicated "Brady bunch". I had witnessed disasters at my siblings' weddings, specifically family members being upset or dissatisfied with the photographer. I warned Mika about these things. On the day of, half my family showed up late to the photos (not a surprise). Mika and her videographer used their time wisely, stayed organized and focused despite this hiccup! She was so professional on the day of and worked really hard throughout the whole event. We did bride and groom photos at the Pasadena City Hall, which she was very familiar with and knew how to capture all the great photos. Mika even offered to do another shoot on a different day (wow!). Within 2 to 3 weeks of the event, she had completed edits on my photos! And shortly after the wedding video was done. She was so nice to offer re-edits until we were satisfied with the final product. Mika was an absolute pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her!!! I have wanted to shoot with Nick since 2006 and I was finally able to and I am so glad I did. His raw images are better than any picture I've ever taken. I was worried about being over-photoshopped in my final photos, but the retouching of the images was EXACTLY what I asked for and was done in a timely fashion (I got my images just one week after choosing them). Their slogan is 100% accurate; I look at the photos and think to myself, "Wow!!! This is ME, perfected." Since I had anticipated this shoot for so long and had a specific theme in mind that I was trying to achieve, I had VERY high expectations. THE SLICKFORCE TEAM FAR EXCEEDED EVERY EXPECTATION I HAD. Booking the shoot was easy and the studio was flexible in accommodating my needs. I was able to utilize the studio space and shoot on location. The hair and makeup team are very experienced and fun and I looked flawless. The assistants were reliable and extremely helpful. Nick Saglimbeni was my photographer and he was very professional yet still warm. He was able to direct me into the perfect poses for my body and knew how to control the lighting to make my skin look perfect and my eyes brighter. He was super creative and able to build on my ideas and make them better without compromising my vision. I felt so comfortable in the studio and with everyone there. I have shot with many photographers for various reasons and have never had a comparable experience. My goal was to create timeless and unique images and that goal was achieved tenfold.
