Christmas Decorations are out, but the spirit of solidarity, friendship and love is missing at the One Shop Post Office in Worlingham, Beccles.
Pity!
I had just experienced rude treatment and poor manners from Kate, the Shift Manager.
After witnessing very rude answer from another member of the staff (blond mature lady) to a customer in front of me, I could not imagine I was the next.
Initially I thought the Shift manager simply didn't like foreigners when she
was unhelpful, then accused me of jumping the queue. But when I told her it wasn't the case, she suddenly found problems with my parcel, so I couldn't send it.
Very soon I realized she mistreats not only foreign origin customers, but very British ones, as outside the shop other customers shared the same opinion than me, after hearing not the most polite reply from Kate to another customer, while standing in the queue. It doesn't make her look better, doesn't it?
Interesting: It is Christmas and PO supposed to be busy, but customers queue patiently and refer to the staff in polite manners. In response they are mistreated!!
With some Post Offices around our area closing, and Beccles main Post Office keeping it's reputation of bad careless service, Worlingham One Stop PO was our hope. And we were pleased with it! Not anymore!
