I brought in a women Baume & Mercier watch that stopped working. I found out it wasn't the battery that was the problem, it was the quartz movement. Steven noticed its value immediately and me not knowing anything about it was detailed in his description of the watch complications and noted that not many watch makers are familiar with the brand due to its age and complexity. He pointed out that he would not restore or polish any thing because it would ruin the value. Steven repaired the watch and schooled me on all the functions and how to take care of it. Stanley helped me when I walked in through the open door. They've taken COVID19 precautions with masks and the installation of a shield on the counter. It was $20 to remove 5 links off my Seiko 5 and install the leather strap, cash only, and I tipped Stanley because of his kind and polite customer service. I have a particularly slender wrist, so he patiently kept removing links and adjusting accordingly before fitting the leather strap on. The whole process took about 15 minutes or so. He told me that there wouldn't be any charges if I returned to get this particular watch adjusted in the future.
