Quarters can be exchanged in the lobby. Cookies are nightly in lobby 5-7pm Continental bfast was 8-10am. Nice selection: oatmeal with toppings, yogurt, fresh fruits, mini donuts+muffins, bagels w/strawberry or regular cream cheese (and toaster), string cheese, power packs of dried fruits to take on the go, individual cereals with white or chocolate milk, coffee and tea, a water bottle fill station. They also have beach blankets and beach bonfire blankets to borrow. They have a fire pit area with loungers and area to cook crab too. As well as hose stations to rinse off the sandy feets. The customer service here is AMAZING. You're treated like family instead of just a guest. Just be aware the lobby is not 24hrs. So if you need things, gotta take care of it before they close at 9/10pm. The location is ideal for walking around the Taft District. We admired all the adorable cottages along the way. They have a very decently sized outdoor pool that we really enjoyed swimming in during a rainy and freezing cold February on the Oregon Coast. The manager was incredibly rude and threatened to cancel the reservation. Fortunately we were flexible with our vacation plans. We had to find another hotel for the night. We were informed by the clerk at that hotel that they get several guests per month who told them that the manager had cancelled reservations without notice or cause or had other wise messed up reservations. On 7/14 we paid for the rooms in full and were assured we would have two rooms with balconies when we checked in the following day. The manager Muni, who had promised us we would have two balcony rooms in the 4th floor, did not reserve two balcony rooms - which we had paid for in full - and only had one room reserved for us. Instead of apologizing for not doing what she had promised she threatened to cancel the reservation once again. We were then given one balcony room and one without a balcony. Muni, the manager, promised we would be refunded the difference for the rooms for which we had paid in full. Balcony rooms are more expensive than non-balcony rooms. At the same time, another guest was checking in who had requested a room on the first floor due to some significant medical disabilities. The request was confirmed by email. That guest was given a room on the third floor (a violation of ADA) and the manager did not even attempt to honor the guaranteed requested room. The manager, Muni, never once apologized for what was clearly her error. I asked for her boss's name and number as she was so incredibly rude and was not honoring her promise. She wrote down a number and gave me her boss's name. It was a fake number. When we checked out I asked the desk clerk, Jeff, why our bill did not reflect the correct amount as we did not have the two balcony rooms for which we had paid. He said he was not going to change the amount or give us the promised refund as it was up to Muni, who he now referred to as the "general manager". I asked Jeff for Muni's boss's name and number and he said she did not have a boss as she was the "general manager". I asked him for the owner's name and he said "the owner is not interested in speaking with anyone". I asked him for the prices of the two different room (balcony vs non-balcony) and he refused to tell me. He said I had to speak with Muni the "general manager". I then called the reservation number and was told that the rooms were significantly less than what we had paid and that the balcony room was $30 more than a non-balcony room. We had made our reservations in January with Muni. The hotel is incredibly run-down. There were holes in the curtains, the bathroom light had to be switched on and off several times before the light actually went on, the lock in the door and screen in the balcony did not work, the small sofa in the room was threadbare. We have been staying at the Siletz Bay Lodge every year for years - way before it was bought out by Oyo. It is incredibly sad to see what has become of it. It was a lovely place to stay and the staff - prior to the current staff were welcoming and kind and helpful. The only good thing I can say about it is that the location is perfect. But the rudeness and incompetence of the staff make for a very dissatisfying experience. I would give it less than one star if I could.

Super sketchy looking laundry room with one washer and one dryer, I went to use it thinking it's a perk that it's across from the room I was staying it. It ate my money, when my dad went to tell the front desk about the issue there was a lady who was super rude saying she's not giving him a refund and acted like he was lying. When he just wanted to let them know the washer was broken. So I had to bag up the soapy clothes from the washer. As we were doing that we heard shouting from guests who had just arrived about how disgusting their room is, it was so bad the lady stormed out. Apparently there was hair on the walls and bedding (they had a suite with a balcony) I stayed in the room with no balcony and 2 beds. I witnessed another guest who booked a 3 day stay in the same room and was locked out after the first night because their system showed her for day one and day three, but not day two. Which makes absolutely no sense. The couches were pretty gross so we put a sheet over it. Mattress had pee stains. At least the fridge worked? And you get free entertainment from all the angry guests. The t.v. had basic cable only. Walls were super thin. I've stayed in so many different hotels and this one gave the vibe of the going rage of 60/night. So definitely overpriced for the accommodations they provide. But I still had a really good time on my visit. Just had to be flexible with my environment.

This was also a pleasant experience. They had the usual cereals and yogurts, but also had big waffles and biscuits and gravy! The food was good! We brought a bottle of wine ourselves, but I did notice they sell wine and beer in the lobby, which is nice, right? I definitely would (and will) stay there again the next time we are in the area.
