I'm not…read moresaying it needs to be a dungeon by any means, but it is SO SO SO bright in this gym it's kind of shocking. It doesn't help that I always work out when it's dark outside, so just walking in is alarming every time. However, the staff is friendly, the gym is quite clean, locker rooms/restrooms/showers/etc. all clean and well maintained. The equipment is also well maintained. This is the first PF I have ever been to (and trust me, I've been to A TON) that has a compact/upright leg press, but also not one, not two, but THREE squat racks/deadlift platforms. Now, the weights don't go up too crazily - it's not a CRUNCH or commercial gym, but this was awesome to see. They also have tons of cardio equipment (of course), but lots of newer versions of some equipment along with the classic versions.

Easy parking and space in the locker room to secure my stuff. A quick pass through the Thirty Minute Circuit for arms, legs, core, cardio. And then a shower with a really nice setup. A single space where I could change, keep my stuff and shower without having to put it out of my immediate space. Awesome. One of my better Planet Fitness stops. Based on the issues and the time spent to resolve them, I have to remove a star, but otherwise, the gym is tip-top. Crunch has plenty of cardio machines. I always was able to find one available. There is a great selection of weights. When I first joined, it was difficult to use them during peak hours, but after the newness wore off, it was much easier to lift. The best part of Crunch is the classes and the HIIT zone. I enjoyed every class I took, and the instructors did a good job. Every time I entered a class as a newbie, I felt comfortable, and never intimidated when learning new things. The HIIT zone and biking classes were my favorite. The HIIT zone is a great place to work out. There are heavy bags, sleds and medicine balls. I always had sufficient space to do my workout.

On August 25, 2025, I signed a 1-month membership contract with Pensacola Athletic Center (HS #14997) and paid $107.49 by credit card. The signed contract includes the cancellation rights under Florida Statute § 501.017 (the Health Studio Act). On August 27, 2025, within the 3 business day cancellation period, I delivered a written cancellation notice (which I sent via email and certified mail). Despite this, the gym failed to acknowledge or act on my cancellation. They did not confirm cancellation, did not refund or void charges, and subsequently adjusted my account to show a "past due" balance of $157--an amount higher than the original contract price. This is now somehow a past due balance of $166.50 and the only communication I get is that they are going to send this to collections. The gym has never provided a legitimate explanation, has not responded to my certified correspondence, and continues to assert I owe fees. This conduct violates Florida's Health Studio Act, including the statutory requirement to refund amounts when cancellation is timely. I have since requested that FDACS investigate this matter, require the gym to confirm cancellation in writing, correct its records, and refund any improper charges. Avoid at all costs, there is also no way to delete your information from the app (and the app is absolutely worthless).

I never authorized this and the front desk, Heather lied to my face, took my card and fraudulently took a payment without any paperwork then denied me working out stating I missed the 5 minute mark of the class start time- which they knew as they were asking me to fill out numerous papers (Again, I'm already a member). And it's not about the money, solely the principle. The racial undertone in this experience is very evident. No one else in there would have been treated like this!!!
