I've been a member there for 1.5 years and been overall very happy with the value for the price. The Cons: 1. I requested that they consider getting a skate ski cardio machine. The owner was very unreceptive to this. A missed opportunity given our proximity to Bogus with the need to train for the winter season. 2. This place is very male focused. I requested that they stock tampons (even if a paid dispenser) and a small trashcan in the bathrooms (which are unisex). This request was not welcome, and the owner's response made me feel like I was the only woman who would want such things. I even proposed that offering these things could be good for business, given that 70% of their patrons are men. They could increase the male/female ratio by making women feel more welcome. I explained to the owners that I had to play basketball with my used tampon and the huge trashcan that was 1/2 way across the bathroom. He told me that other women in the gym did not share my concern. He also said that when they did stock tampons that they were stolen immediately. I sympathize with this feedback given how hard it is to run a business. But I was left feeling very unheard and like this gym is sort of hostile towards women's needs. I have since had several episodes where I'm at the gym and suddenly go to the bathroom only to find that I'm having a period incident with no recourse. Again, I'm happy with the facility. I only wish the feedback around the needs of women was more kindly and seriously considered.

We, as parents, were paying for this membership and she canceled due to several reasons including being watched by a man while working out that they claimed man was special needs. Upon wanting to cancel my membership, I was told that it would be cancelled at the end of the month yet upon noticing my card statements, it was not. After reaching out, yet again, they said it would be cancelled and refunded; but surprise, it still wasn't! Now this is when common courtesy flies out the window. Please don't go here, they harass you for wanting to leave their business politely and quietly because they're losing out on money. Plain and simple. This business is not worth the $60 you'll pay EVERY MONTH so please take your business elsewhere!! This business isn't even worth a 1 star, it deserves ZEROOOOOO!

They had a great trainer working here at first, but he moved on to bigger and better things and so training has fallen by the wayside. The equipment is good, but the facility is cramped and hard to use. The lack of a locker room isn't the end of the world but you can get an actual locker room and a hot shower just down the block at either Crunch or IFF for the same money or less. If bodybuilding is your thing, Whiting fitness offers more advanced training and equipment. If this were the only gym in town, I would be okay with it, but there are better options on the same street, again for the same price or less, so I can't really justify a recommendation.
