No complaints about this Delta Hotel on the Saint John River in Fredericton…read more Nice view out the window when booked with a room on the river side of the building and it overlooked the large patio and outdoor pool. The wifi worked perfectly and the TV was a 55" and easy to use. We rented a movie for about $20 which was a fun addition to a great night spent here. We sneaked out late in the evening and snooped the event spaces which were numerous and obviously a significant part of this hotel's business. When zipping around in and out of our room, I was very happy with the elevators which had zero lag and were easy to use with the responsive card security system they have. The staff was super helpful when little things came up, so thumbs up there! Even though we were burning the candle at both ends that night, I squeezed in a quick dip in the outdoor pool after brunch before checking out and it was great! Water was warm and it was easy to find a towel at the indoor pool and then zip over and jump in for a refresher. Very cool that there is a dock at this hotel so if you arrive with your boat, there isn't a problem. And no boat? No problem! You can rent a peddle boat for a fun activity. Also there is a scooter rental spot on the side of the building so you can easily check out the trail system that runs along the river bank. Would love to go back and try that! The brunch at the restaurant was awesome! I got the revered New Brunswick style lobster roll, along with a seafood chowder and it was delicious! Friend got a granola cereal bowl, and fruit parfait and it was all excellent, including our table, right by the window by the patio area. We could have opted for eating outside in the glorious sunshine too. I asked our server to hang in there while I went for a quick dip in the pool when waiting for our order. We ended up bringing our stuff down to our table as the time dragged on past the 11am deadline since we were enjoying the moment. Check out the photos, and I highly recommend getting out of the downtown and into this place unless you really enjoy the urban environment as part of your visit.

The rooms are rather small and they're connected to the adjacent rooms. Of course they get locked from both sides, but it's nice if you travel in larger groups and you want to be able to use the rooms as interconnected spaces. The rooms are and tidy and well-equipped; towels, shampoo, soap, body lotion are available. It's also a quiet place and suitable if you're looking for a place to stay longer. They also provide breakfast buffet with warm and cold options and you can take some to go.

We asked around at a few places in the area, some with no vacancy, some enough out of our price range to encourage us to keep looking, before we finally stumbled upon Lakeview Inn and Suites. I'm often not a huge fan of chain hotels (they're so uniform and there's not a lot of character), but this place ended up being really great. With our CAA discount, we had a choice of either a regular guest room for $90-something dollars (why don't I write these reviews immediately after I get home?), or a suite (with a King-sized bed and living area separate from the bedroom) for $109. For that little of a price difference we decided to treat ourselves and go for the suite, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The room was awesome, LARGE, with quite a spacious living area, and a decent sized bedroom as well. The staff member who checked us in was extremely friendly and personable. The hotel itself, just like our room, was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. It was the service and cost that pushed this place over the top for us, and I have to say that we really enjoyed our stay here.

My partner and I were supposed to stay for two nights while we moved to town and waited to receive our furniture. Initially when booking we were told we could have a king bed. When I called back to add the second night, we weren't able to get a king bed due to the fact we would have our cats with us. It was disappointing, but we understood. When we went to check in, they told us we would have to come back in several hours. Again we understood, but the lady also added that we were unable to leave our cats unattended in the room and would have to bring two cats in a carrier on every single errand we had to run as we had just moved to the area. I understand this policy with dogs, but with our cats? After an already four hour drive, we would disappointed in this. Also, were we expected to bring them when we went out for food? Or when we went to our new apartment to clean? When we returned to check in, we were astounded at how little the room looked like the pictures online. We were going to be paying $100 a night for a room that looked like it belonged in a Hitchcock film. The entire hotel seemed to have been decorated in the 1970's and never updated. On top of that, the internet was barely available in our room and the front desk wanted us to pay up front. In all of the hotels I have ever stayed in, I have never had to charge my credit card upfront. It has always been a hold until check out. We were in the room for 5 minutes and called another hotel to book for the night and left. We were refunded for the two nights we had paid for, however, the front desk attendant only refunded my boyfriend for one night at first. When my boyfriend said he paid for two nights, she said she had forgotten while sitting in front of the computer cancelling the reservation that was for two nights. The only redeeming thing about this hotel is that it has the Stuft Burger Bar. If we weren't huge fans of that restaurant, we would never step foot there again.

I would advise you all to NEVER bathe in any motel or hotel for reasons we won't get into- The room smelled SLIGHTLY, but it is an older building and understandable, as it probably used to be smoking. That being said: This is the NICEST place I have stayed for the price- probably anywhere ever. I stay in a lot of hotels/motels, ALL the staff were super friendly and nice. There is a good burger/beer bar attached, free breakfast, clean, well-spaced rooms with nice furniture. It's basically perfect. Five stars all day.

Both times the staff has been amazing and the rooms are very nice. On our first stay, we had booked a king bed. We were pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded to a suite for a 6 night stay. The bedroom being separated from the main room was super nice for my partner and I to do our own things. There was a wired internet connection that allowed my boyfriend to online game without having lag or any issues. The staff were all very kind and the lady who checked us in was animated and interested in our trip even recommending some areas in town to check out for apartments. Our second stay, we called day off and were able to get a room. The reservation center was a little hard to deal with but that's at no fault of this hotel! When we checked in, we explained our situation to the front desk agent and how we had a hard time booking over the phone and she sorted everything out and got us into a fantastic room. The housekeeping staff in this hotel work very hard to keep everything immaculate. Everything in the rooms was pristine including the stand up shower on our second visit. Whenever you see a housekeeper in the hallway, they greet you and are kind and seem genuinely happy to see you. The restaurant downstairs has absolutely amazing food. Everything we have eaten has been delicious and served well. The sourdough bread is definitely a highlight for me! On our first trip, one of the wait staff was incredibly helpful and animated. He was delightful to talk to, I just wish I knew his name to commend him on his customer service! All in all, the Radisson is an amazing place to stay and we've been very pleased with our stays. On top of an already amazing hotel, they offer a fantastic military discount and member rates. My singular complaint is the reservation center but this is no fault of the hotel. I have already recommended this hotel to several people and will continue to do so as the staff and accommodations are both amazing.

It opened only nine weeks ago and they…read moreself-admittedly were still working out the kinks, but the hotel was clean, the staff efficient, the beds comfortable. Pros: -The staff was super friendly and helpful. Shout out to Wanda who ensured everything would be charged appropriately when I checked out. -Everything is shiny and new. -There was a lovely view of the golf course pond (and some construction, but I'm sure that will change) from my room. -Complimentary water bottles and makeup wipes in the rooms...it's the little things. -All the pillows! It was easy to find a pillow that suited my needs. -Giant flat screen TV, desk area, and rolling chair. The room was well suited for me to do my work. -Room service was incredibly fast and friendly, and the halloumi fries were crispy, savory, and spicy. -They had a corkscrew available when I asked for one. Cons: -It's about 15 minutes from downtown Fredericton and 20 from the airport. While it's quiet, unless you're there for golf, other hotels might be more conveniently located. This also means if your flight gets in late, it's hard to find something to eat. Sam Snead's was closed when I arrived, as was the hotel restaurant, and there are no "around the corner" or walking distance restaurants. -I always feel like architectural and design features in new hotels make little sense, and that was the case for the bathrooms here. No toehold for leg shaving (almost always overlooked in new hotels, which causes some "fun" shower acrobatics), a toilet paper holder that doesn't hold onto the roll, so it goes flying, a rolling barn-style door that does not lock, and (should you choose to be gross like me and leave the door open since it doesn't lock anyway) the full-length mirror is directly across from the toilet. Awkward. -Room service includes a $3 service charge and 15% gratuity. I tipped on top of that because 15% isn't my style, but I paid more than $35 CAD for six cheese sticks and a tiny flatbread. -The hotel is quiet for the most part, but there were these loud random thunks in the night, and my neighbor had the TV on until past midnight, which was definitely audible. -There were three hairs that were not my own under my pillow on my second night. No, I didn't have hotel room guests. I'm going to shrug my shoulders about that one. Again, my stay was great and the people were smiling and accommodating. My cons are nitpicky, and I've had hotel stays elsewhere that make this Radisson seems like paradise by comparison.
