The obvious and at times blatant way Woolworths uses psychology on their customers to trick them into spending more money, see in the photos a heap of "low price" stickers which only repeat the original price listed on the products. when I questioned staff they spoke to their manager at 12:09pm who stated the prices are going to go up in the future so they are low prices. Home of the Mexican Street Corn! This Wooley's is wonderful! It's big, clean and chock full o' heaps of Aussie provisions like vegemite and marmite. They sell ready-to-make packs of Mexican Street Corn here, where it's two ears of corn, with packets of mayo, Parmesan cheese, chipotle sauce, and ground pepper, all ready to toss on the barbie! Amazing. I live in Texas, and we don't even have those things, to the best of my knowledge. I'm in awe of the Aussie cookin' ingenuity! There was only self-checkout when I went here. There isn't even an area where a clerk could help you if you needed it. The meats section seemed clean, and full of various cuts, but I couldn't find any kangaroo meat here when I went. They offered a handful of pre-made selections of sandwiches and salads for takeaway, which was nice! This seems to be the largest supermarket in the area. It takes up the whole bottom floor of a giant building that's vacant above it. read more

If you're comparing the big grocery chains in this area then this is by far at the top of the list. It beats the others in size, service and content. It has a larger selection of items and is laid out better than the Prahran counterpart. You will find someone always stocking produce, sushi chefs hard at work and even when it's crazy busy, additional check outs opening. This has been newly remodeled to bring the cold items closer together. I generally always find what I'm looking for at a decent price compared to say Prahran Market, although you can't compare to its quality. Another plus is that it's clean! Wide aisles and easy to find products unlike the competitors which nearby store is not well designed. read more

This supermarket is located in a high density living suburb which can mean that common food items are often sold out by the end of the day. its a great place to go if you want to mozie around and pick something up cheap for dinner. Checkout Malvern if you want a woolies that is better stocked! read more

Woolworth is one of the busiest places at the moment in Australia. I am a bit surprised that Woolworths didn't protect their own employee from the coronavirus even though they are working really hard to serve/ fill up the shelves for the customer. I saw some other retailers provide their employees with a mask, which is really important because they are dealing with the customer, and some customers might sneeze or cough near them. As the government already gives the social distancing range, I don't think this applies in the supermarket and I feel sorry for them as it is their income and they need to deal with customer who might already get infected. They never know which one has the virus. I think what they care now is only make sales and brand image to do best for the customer. read more

MAKE SURE you check your change at this place before leaving. Every time I've been there they have short changed me. Tonight it was $6. I can understand why they have self serve check outs when the morons at the checkout can't even read the screen showing how much change to give you. I could yet they can't every time I go there.......or are they purposefully doing it to pocket the cash ! read more
