I don't even want to tell you about Woofpack. I want to keep them for myself. My awesome dog secret. But I decided that 2017 would be a year where I consciously try to be kind, so you got lucky! I moved to Santa Cruz about 8 months ago, and decided to hit the ground running and rescued a puppy. I quickly realized I was in over my head. I reached out to Woofpack and had a meet and greet with Maria and Ila. WE HAVE NEVER LOOKED BACK. They both walked into our home and immediately had a handle on our girl who is very home aggressive with strangers. The advice and guidance we've received from the entire Woofpack team has literally changed our lives. We've made incredible progress with our on/off leash walking skills and because of play groups we are growing into a well mannered canine citizen (we're still a puppy so we do what we want sometimes). We've used quite a few of their services: in-home training session, full & half day hikes, overnights, and Saturday play groups. They are always extremely communicative and professional, and I know that they genuinely love my girl, Zelda, like she was their own bratty, deceptively cute, omg-how-are-you-still-wanting-to-play fur baby. My dog Arrow is a timid dog who is afraid of strangers and other dogs. Maria and Ila came over together to meet her the first time. They listened carefully when I described Arrow's quirks and they took the time to learn everything they could about her. Maria recommended that Arrow do solo walks instead of pack walks until she started to feel more comfortable. Fast-forward a few months later, and Arrow is blossoming. She goes on Woofpack hikes twice a week and always comes home grinning, tail wagging, happy and tired. She gets to spend time with some of the other dogs, but she's never overwhelmed, and she has come to adore Maria, Ila, and April. She even did a play bow and gave one of the other dogs a kiss recently: that's big progress for a fearful dog! When we went out of town for a week, Ila and April arranged overnight care between the two of them, including caring for our three cats. My 1 year old husky poodle puppy is now a member of the woofpack and I couldn't be happier about it. She is a very special dog with some pretty annoying issues..She is afraid of people and just generally really skittish. It's only been a few weeks of her going twice a week and I am already seeing such a huge improvement in her attitude. Not only do these gals hike the energy out of my pup they do a lot of training and getting them focused while they walk. So when she comes home she is just pooped. Coming home to her this evening after she had been out hiking with them today, she is just the most smiley and relaxed that I have ever seen her. I am just beyond happy that the woofpack is part of our life now and especially recommend it for people with dogs that are a bit more high maintenance than the average dog. read more

I love WoofPack!!! Maria, Ila & April have taken my two whippets in like family. I love that my dogs get to be out for most of the day w/ them. They pick my pups up at 10 and keep them out and about until 3 or 4 pm. I love receiving pictures of my dogs at the parks that they visit. It's such a relief to know my loved ones are getting to exercise and explore while I am at work. I recently had WoofPack house sit while I was on vacation. Such an incredible service! Decided to try out this new hiking daycamp for my two pups. Maria and team picked up my dogs in the morning, wore them out on a 3 hour hike, and brought them home to me at the end of the day! Great, right? What's even better was the price. I pay a lot less than our last doggy daycare, and they are actually worn out at the end of the day. Woofpack was such a good find. I can't recommend Woofpack enough! My wife and I have been traveling for the last week so we contacted Woofpack to look after our 1.5 year old Bernese Mountain Dog, Elsie. From our initial meeting it was clear that these ladies took great pride in their work. We had Elsie go on a couple of hiking camps to get used to the pack before we went away. She came home very tired and very happy both days. I loved the way that the staff would text me during the day to let me know how she was doing and followed up with an email at night with photos of the pack that day. When we were away, Elsie spent time between one of the pack leaders homes and ours. I came back this morning to a well looked after house and a very satisfied dog. Ila and co. have been amazing to deal with and we'd use Woofpack again in a heartbeat. I just hope they don't get some popular we need to book months in advance! Woofpack is the best thing since the invention of dogs. Our dog Izzy has been a regular for the past year (or more? time flies!) and we couldn't be happier or more satisfied with the service and the results. Izzy is a rescue who was a real handful when we got her - reactive, pulling, constant herding - but with the socialization and walking skills she learned with Woofpack, she has become a different dog, for the better. Woofpack has also become our go-to dog sitting solution when we go out of town. The Woofpack crew is SO great with dogs that we don't have to worry even the tiniest bit about the care Izzy is getting. What more can I say? Woofpack is simply awesome! Ila and Maria have been walking our dogs for almost a year and we are thrilled with the results. Our two Golden's were not getting enough activity to keep them out of trouble. That problem has been solved! The 4-6 hours walks are full of exercise, discipline, training and socializing. We've been utilizing their house sitting service too, which includes taking care of our cats, rabbit, gerbil and of course our Goldens. Not only do they care for and treat my dog as if he was their own, AND fill his day with fun, adventure and absolute glee with being able to spend it with other fuzzy faces, they're teaching him along the way! He's pretty good with his commands but dare I say since he's started with them his reaction to sit, come, etc. has been almost immediate every time ... before it was more like, :"hmmm, I'll do it in a minute". My poodle mix has been hanging with the Woofpack for the last three months and I am beyond thrilled with what a positive affect it has had on our life. Woofpack is a truly wonderful organization. I have a two year old rescued boxer/pit mix. Before I had adopted him, Woofpack coordinated with the local animal shelter and he had the privilege of walking with the pack for the day! Any organization the works with the shelter has a special place in my heart, and Woofpack is no exception to that. A few months after I adopted him, we were accepted into The Pack! My little guy needs PLENTY of love, exercise, and care. At Woofpack, he gets all of those and more. Woofpack is a lifesaver, and my dog's favorite thing in life. As trainers and handlers they are essentially Dog Whisperers with my high energy young pitttie/boxer mix. After just a short initial session...mostly to train me...I've already seen a huge improvement in my dog's obedience and loose leash walking. If I could give Woofpack 831 10 stars out of 5, I would. This amazing group of people, truly are a godsend. My boyfriend and I rescued a pup last april from oakland and we both work very demanding jobs. We needed a great place for our energizer bunny of a dog to go while we were both working where she could not only be with other furry friends, but get tons of exercise not only physically but mentally as well. Every day when we pick her up she is thoroughly tired, happy as can be, sleeps like a rock, and learns some new training techniques! Plus while we are working we get adorable text messages with photos of her playing her little heart out with her dog friends! When we went out of town during new years, our pup got the royal treatment, a vacation of her own you could say! My boyfriend and I both work 12-24 hour shifts over the hill, and when we are gone, we know our pup is in the greatest, safest, and happiest place possible! Last week for Valentines Day we received a Valentine for our dog, Murphy from Woofpack. That was the last straw I said to myself - I have to review Woofpack on Yelp. We have been using Woofpack for about a year now and have had a five star experience every single week. One day a week we are proud to be able to buy our pooch what my wife an I call his Adventure Day - this is the day he has with Woofpack. They take him out to multiple locations that are fun and varied. Their staff is fantastic - nice, passionate, professional. They always send us a folder of photos that give us a peak into his great time. In addition to knowing that he has gotten an exhaustive workout he gets *socialized*. This last point is one of the reasons we would not stop using this service. They always have a large group of dogs that they walk *together* for enough time that it actually gives them a pack experience. Since experiencing these days regularly with Woofpack, Murphy has never acted out with other dogs - as a dog owner it is so nice to be confident that our dog is not going to be "that dog" that starts arguments because his is not socialized.
