Although we are at various good places in this area and we liked each one, this was a mind blower. The server was above perfect. He was super super great. The food we each had was amazing and the vibe in here was great too. We were so glad we went here and so glad we had this very one as our sever.

The food was just okay. The wings although described beautifully could have been crispier and just felt like it was missing something. The pizza was a no. We had one of the salads and it was really good. The turkey meatball soup has great potential. The meatball was very good but the broth was salty. Had the blackberry drink made with whiskey and it was okay, I wish it was muddled with fresh blackberries. The bartender Ali was amazing. Very personable and excellent customer service.

Restaurant.

Smash burger was delicious as was the Italian salad. They could expand their Italian offerings however. Very limited for a good Italian themed restaurant.

It is standard bar and grill food not much different than the Jefferson tap room. Did not try the pizzas. Meatballs were big and could split and each get a soup. Limited people when there so service was good. Alcohol same as other spots at hotel.

Farm Burger. I asked for Poutine Fries.

We were scheduled to eat dinner here on the Friday we arrived. My husband worked with the hotel…read moreconcierge to schedule a dinner reservation for my husband and I and our 19 month old daughter. When we checked in we asked about dinner and were informed that on Fridays there is only a prime rib buffet for like $60 per person. I don't eat that much red meat and I really don't eat Prime Rib so we cancelled that reservation. I was irritated bc I felt the concierge should've told my husband there was this limited menu buffet when he booked it considering they knew he was booking for a couple with a small child. Big fail there. We dined here twice for breakfast during our stay at the hotel. They have a large breakfast buffet for around $39 per person which has most of the items from the a la carte breakfast menu (but not all of them, like an acai bowl and eggs Benedict. The breakfast buffet was just OK. For a hotel that bills itself as luxury - this was not it. Pastries were sub par with nothing specialty and the banana bread or whatever the flavor they had was hard and not fresh. The warm foods were better with a nice omelette station that had LONG lines. Husband ordered an egg white bc he had his gallbladder removed years ago and eggs irritate his stomach, they said OK but it was not egg white after he waited 20 minutes for it. Only one option for milk and it was whole, which was great for our baby but not so much for us. Only two cereal options and the grits/oatmeal were slimy. Service was horrible the first day - literally no one came ever to clear plates or ask how things were after dropped off coffee. The second morning, service was much better. Still, not worth the inflated buffet price and the food was at best 3 stars.

Great ambiance. Ok food…read more Stuck up reception. Not at all what one would expect. Not at all 3 star. Our third time there in 40 years. Not the best of the group. We celebrated our 44th anniversary with a dinner there. Dinner at 5:00. A party of four. We informed them of our anniversary when we made the reservation. Seems it was forgotten. Got a text saying be here early or after 5 minutes our reservation might be cancelled. Got there 15 minutes early, and was snarled at by the hostess. "You're too early. We're not ready." A great entrance. Our server had not arrived, and we were served by another in 20 minutes. Arrive early or else? Food was good. Not at all memorable. Duck confit was just ok; soft not crispy and was missing the expected taste. Sigh. Not a great reason to return. The manager came by towards the end, and was very sweet and understanding. Sorry she wasn't there at the beginning.

I absolutely recommend this place. Foot of the Mountain Cafe feels like the kind of spot where you…read moreinstantly relax as soon as you sit down. The food was fresh, hearty, and clearly made with care. My breakfast plate came out hot and perfectly cooked, with eggs done exactly right and some of the best home fries I have had in a long time. The coffee kept coming, and the staff made sure everything was just the way I wanted. For a funny little story: I was trying to snap a quick photo of my plate to show a friend, and right as I lifted my phone, the pancake syrup decided to make a slow escape down the edge of the plate. I panicked, trying to stop it before it reached the table, and ended up with syrup on my sleeve instead. The server noticed, laughed, and brought me an extra napkin with the line, "That is what happens when the food looks too good to wait." It definitely broke the ice, and the whole table around me chuckled too. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a mix of locals and travelers that gives it real character. It feels like the perfect spot to fuel up before or after a hike, or just to enjoy a relaxed meal with friends. Overall, great food, friendly service, and even a syrup mishap that turned into a laugh made the visit memorable. Five stars.
