I came here last week for the first time to attend my husband's 25th high school reunion…read more There was ample parking - always good for a large group! Especially when many people will struggle with just walking upright by the end ;-) The space we had the reunion in was open with vaulted ceilings with a large balcony. The washrooms were also clean the entire night - bonus! The staff (food/liquor) were friendly and easy to find. We had both chef stations (sautéed giant shrimp on bruschetta were my fave) and hor d'oeuvres throughout the evening. We ordered a bottle of champagne to share with our table and the bartender came over to serve it to us and offered to keep it on ice at his station. Without even asking, he would reappear silently to refill our glasses. I wish I had asked his name because he was phenomenal! My only complaint was the lack of seating and volume of the dj/band but I'm guessing those were both choices by the reunion committee. I'm definitely looking forward to the next time I have an event here or any reason to come back and check 'em out.

He had this with fries. I chose the bison short ribs with espresso rub and a wine au juice. I added the mushroom rissoto. Food was delicious once it finally came. My ribs fell off the bone and very flavourful. The rissotto was excellent and a great consistancy. My husband was pleased with his burger. I tried a bite and the patty was very juicy and tasty. The fries were well done. Definately will be back to try other things on the menu.

First off we came a little early. The parking lot is quite large and clean. It was raining so the few steps you have to walk down were a tad on the slippery side but a scenic walk, even in the rain. The main building itself is pretty simple. It's rustic and little outdated, say stuck in the 90s, but the view overlooking the lush golf greens right by the river valley makes you forget all that quite quickly. The event itself is AMAZING. The live lobsters are boiled fresh and you are given your choice of the whole lobster or just claw and tail. The head with its green mushy bits is more then I can handle so stuck to the claw and tail. Being a buffet I completely overindulged and had about 8 sets of claws and a tail. (My dining partner doesn't like claws so I gave her my tails for her claws. Lol) The rest of the buffet was simple fixing but all done right. Three salads Ceasar, Asian, and tomato. My favorite was definitely the Ceasar as it had the right mix of creamy and citrus. Then there was garlic toast, corn on the cob, and baked potatoes. There were also oven roasted chicken and pork chops with bbq sauce. And some condiments such as pickles olives and what not. Finally the dessert buffet. My favorite item from the table was the amazing peach tart. So peachy, light, airy and creamy. But really, everything we tried was pretty great. And we gave it our best to try at least a couple bites of everything on the table but in the end failed miserably as they kept bringing out different items as the meal wined down. Service was pretty decent. The hostess was able to sit us right away at our reserved table. And a waitress took our drink order promptly. Throughout dinner our plates were cleared quickly, for the most part and we were checked on to see of we had any needs as well. Coffee and tea were included with the meal. I asked for decaf so they had to brew a pot just for us. It was hot and strong. By the end of the evening we were already discussing how we couldn't wait to come back next year and invite more friends to join us. A+++.

I must give my props to the greens keepers as the course is in terrific shape. The carts are wonderful and new with a GPS map and everything. I do however wish the carts had a cooler with some ice in it. Had to drink my beers too fast to prevent them from getting warm haha. Couldn't recommend Quarry enough, it is quickly becoming a favourite of mine.

The lot is small and most of the parking is done on the grass in front of the venue.

Paul had a quote for us within a day and made sure he could accommodate our date on short notice. Paul put on a fantastic dinner for my moms 90 birthday even though it was for only 30 people. He was able to accommodate us on fairly short notice when everyone else was not. There was so much food that we ended up sending everyone home that wanted with next day meals. The quality of the food and what was delivered for what was ordered was exceptional. He personally picked up the equipment and dishes that night and I couldn't thank him and his staff enough for what they provided. I like the fact that this building houses both the City of Edmonton Archives (on the second floor) and also includes a lot of beautiful rental space. It's pretty awesome how versatile this space can be for hosting events. And being greeted when I arrived by the door with people willing to provide directions to the event I was seeking was pretty awesome. I am quite happy that that happened and the area outside the event space was beautiful and well lit while we awaited the event. I liked seeing some of the more historic building touches as we awaited the event (for example the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II). The historic facility is beautifully well maintained and has some great facility touches. I would definitely recommend the space for special event rentals.
