ONE STAR -- Second chance, same terrible customer service…read more My husband had a 9:30 appointment at Barbershop and Beers in Dunnellon. The barber didn't arrive until approximately 9:40. When we expressed frustration that his appointment hadn't started on time, they skipped him and took a walk-in who arrived after him. We know he arrived after us because we spoke with him before they called him back. Apparently, having an appointment and being there first still doesn't guarantee your turn. From our perspective, being passed over after raising a legitimate concern felt disrespectful and retaliatory. A late arrival could have been handled with a simple apology and an explanation. Instead, we were left watching someone who came after us get served first. This is the SECOND time we've experienced this kind of treatment here. We didn't leave a review the first time because we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Today was their second and final chance. Customers shouldn't have to stay silent about poor service to keep their place in line. Our time matters, too. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend taking your business somewhere else. We certainly will.

Was given Dylan as my barber and I must say was pleasantly surprised not just by his mastery with blade and buzz but that he is very knowledgeable in correcting my current styling and upkeep of my beard. Add to that he was a great conversationalist and I enjoyed our discourse on many things. The shop is clean, the gents that work there professional but not stuffy nor snobs (see that a lot these days), and the atmosphere from the local residents waiting/getting cut was friendly and inclusive (always nice when you're new to the area/shop). I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and relaxed barber shop that is also VERY reasonably priced. Dylan will be my go to barber whether or not I decide to reside permanently in Ocala. He is worth the trip.

Update 10/03/2020…read more So, i am a Paramedic who works in a ER during this pandemic. Meaning.....you get called at anytime all hours of the night if needed. I set an appt with this shop back on 09/12/2020. I was called to work immediately and did not show for my appt nor call. I was wrong. I know weekends is where barbers make lots or most of there money and I'm sure i set him back a bit. I set another appt which I apologize and he could have easily turned me away but he is an absolute PRO!! Gave me another slot hooked me up, no attitude no bad vibes just cutting away like a pro and i thank you and will never break another appt again

I was able to make an appt for both of us in the same hour. Carrie was our Barber and she did an excellent job! She ensured we were completely satisfied with the look and took notes for our next visit, including our phone number and photo. The shop was nice and clean without any loud music and the price extremely reasonable. I highly recommend you give this place your money, and by the way, they only take cash, which I assume keeps the price low. Great Job Carrie! See you again soon.

I needed a place to get my 2 sons hair cut and was referred here by my brother and dad. There was a short wait because there was only one person working but that was a good sign because you could see they were all patrons they had been going there regularly. Lucera, our barber cut both of my boys hair and all I needed to do was show her a photo and she worked her magic. The shop isn't fancy but she worked quickly and knew what she was doing. The price was right too. Very inexpensive compared to the Supercuts where we are from. I highly recommend Lucera. In today's day it's important to keep local business thriving. I will be back next time we come to visit.
