I've been sitting on doing a review for a while, but I just needed to do so. They deserve it…read more I don't live in the area, but I was visiting Nevada City for a short getaway. I had been dealing with some intense hip pain prior to going, but I needed the break really badly and was determined to enjoy some time away. But to do so, I needed to be able to walk without shooting pain in my hip area. The day that I arrived, I immediately booked an appointment with Jacobson's Chiropractic for that same afternoon. I was so happy that Patrick could accommodate me. When I arrived, I found a cute office nestled under trees. At the front door, I was greeted by a "Love Is Love" rainbow sticker on the window that made my gay heart feel seen and welcomed. (One never knows when they go to an unfamiliar area, especially a smaller town.) And then they had rainbow stickers in a bowl at the front desk. Over the next few days of treatments, I was always greeted by name by the wonderful Maia and Tyler. They made it so even my introverted self was able to easily enjoy some pleasant conversation while I waited for my sessions. Patrick was able to do some adjustments/manipulations that, while not taking away all my pain completely, allowed me to walk around without shooting pain with each step. Yay! During sessions, he was a great conversationalist, and he also gave me suggestions on where to go while I was in the area. Hiking was one of my goals, and one of his suggestions provided me one of my best days in the area. And while I couldn't do anything too strenuous, I was able to do a light hike of a couple miles without falling down in agony and able to arrive at a cool little swimming hole as my end destination. (And, I have to say it, but he is also easy on the eyes. Mrs. Ryan, you are one lucky woman!) The entire place just has a great family feel, and the treatment of patients is exceptional. I recommend Jacobson's Chiropractic wholeheartedly. If I am ever in the area again, I might even be tempted just to drop by to say hi, even if I don't need chiropractic done. Or maybe get an adjustment just because it is probably a good idea to so every so often.

I could easily write a novella singing his praises, but I'll refrain and just tell you about my experience... I had suffered from excruciating pain for years, mainly between my shoulders, in my upper back. After seeing various chiropractors regularly for years, I had never really gotten any answers about the culprit. More so just "come see me again next week" and minor relief that would last a week or two at best. Upon my first visit with the doc, he requested that I get an x-ray so he could see what was really going on. The word "x-ray" sent me into a panic, as I anticipated getting a few thousand dollars in the hole. But instead, I was charged $60 by an imaging center he works with regularly. WIN! After looking over the x-rays, the doctor was able to explain the cause of my constant pain. His thoroughness, compassion and knowledge was something I had been lacking from previous chiropractors. I truly felt a huge difference after our first visit. His gentle adjustments (no more twisting and cracking) worked wonders. Long story short, my chest pain, discomfort and shortness of breath was relieved to an extent I had never experienced. Fast forward to this year and I still see him regularly and my life has improved drastically. I am able to play with my children, sit for longer periods and am all around a much happier person with the demise of my pain. I also now have him adjust my children, which has improved their mobility and immune systems drastically. Like I said, I could go on for days, but I won't. But truly, Dr. Jack has been a godsend. If I hadn't started seeing him, my problem would most definitely be worsened by now with the prior route I was taking. I am forever grateful for the help my family has received and I could not recommend him more.
