I don't rate this restaurant as have eaten here twice - first time had to ask for clean cutlery and second time table was so sticky had to ask for it to be cleaned. The decor is good and fresh and as well as the eating area there is a small bar area to the side. A couple of table outside but I think more for smokers than anyone wanting to eat outside. It looks inviting from the outside and there always seems to be someone eating but it never looks all that busy. A superb restaurant that serves large portions. There is nowhere in East Dunfermline that is anywhere near as good. Excellent.

The Wood Mill is situated opposite St Columba's High School and was recently renovated to a high standard. The inside of the restaurant has been tastefully decorated and the tables are situated spaciously within the restaurant. The food is freshly prepared for customers, and whilst this is reassuring it also results in quite a wait for food. Therefore this is not the ideal place to go for a business lunch. However, if you're not in a hurry, the food is worth the wait, and I particularly like the balmoral chicken. Thed desserts are delicious too. Ate here recently food was good however the sleazy unwanted attention by one of the male waiters, (i believe his name was Alec) not too mention the sexist comments he made to one of his colleagues about us, which incidentally we overheard, means that we will not be back, beware all self respecting ladies out there!! read more
