From the outside, Gallaghers looks in need of some tender, love and care. The exterior looked as if it was in desperate need of a make over. And this was also the case inside.
This is what I would call a pub for the locals, and a pub which does not get many more people than that. It was quite dark inside and now and again the smell of smoke flows in the pub from the smokers and the main door.
A pint is pretty cheap in their and the staff seemed friendly enough. However, I could not help but notice the locals staring and passing judgement on this outsider! The pub is tired looking and a good clean would do this traditional pub well. The seats are torn and the carpet is too dark. It is not a place I would be running back to in a hurry!
