tl;dr - Good, quality and cheap Chinese food.
A very nice takeaway. I have been using them for years, and in my opinion, apart from a few Chinese restaurants, they offer the best Chinese food, which I have tasted in Bristol.
The portions are big - in the large and deep foil containers - unless it's one of the meals which come in the smaller deep foil containers - which is usually the cheaper ones etc., as far as I know.
The pricing is really good, especially in comparison to other Chinese Takeaways, such as the one nearby on St Johns Lane (Willows or something) - which I must add is EXTORTIONATE.
Wong Tai Sin is probably one of the CHEAPEST, and I doubt you'll find a good, nice Chinese takeaway for cheaper.
2 x Special Chowmein (sp?) which are large portions only cost me £8.** something tonight. And you even get a portion of prawn crackers if it's over 10er or something.
The people serving - the man and wife - and occasionally their children are always extremely friendly and helping. Despite going in there for years though, I haven't remembered to catch their names - they know mine though!
The interior isn't anything fancy, but hell, why would you want/expect it to be for a takeaway?
I think they also take deliveries now, but I dunno if that's restricted to the weekends or if their is a minimum order amount.
Conclusion/Summary:
Cheap, QUALITY Chinese food - Often really short waiting times; although, I generally just phone in my order 5-10 minutes before I leave the house - which is nearby. read more
