After trying out the black bean beef + rice on the side & glass noodles, I can fully endorse their praise - this was great food, especially when compared to all the variety back in the GTA + fast & friendly service even with the whole pandemic going on. It's about time the Valley got a little bit of variety. Coming up from Toronto for Mother's Day I…read moreasked my mom where she'd like to go for dinner. She loves sushi and had heard through the grapevine that Rim and Tony's had opened in Val Caron and a few people had been and found it to be really good. I had never been to sushi place that was not all you can eat and wondered if it was as good a value. Well let me tell you, we ordered too much and took the remainder home. Spicy Avacado Pizza $10.99. We laughed that it looked like a little deep dish pizza. It was cooked perfectly and quite good. We ordered the Sushi Combo C $17.99 which was a bowl of Miso soup, 3 pcs spring rolls, 3 dumplings, and a lot of rolls. Avocado Hand Roll $2.59 Green Dragon Roll (8 pcs) $9.99 Soft drink $2.00 We were stuffed and took a box of sushi home. It was all really good and I can highly recommend. The staff was very quick to help, friendly and easily explained what each dish was. Get out and support some locals so we have more choice than fast food. You won't be disappointed!

They were so good, my friend and I kept coming back on the days we spent in Sudbury. There's plenty of parking in the plaza, but note that the restaurant is very small. Just a few small tables inside and I think a two-seater outside. We saw many people order for take-out and we did that once too! Do note that because they are a tiny spot, they only have their staff bathroom available for use. It's through the kitchen and not accessible. So be mindful if you chose to dine in. Staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Often it is just one person doing everything, so be patient! Order at the counter, help yourself at the Jasmine green tea station, and grab a seat to await the deliciousness coming your way. About the food: VEGAN RAMEN with cabbage, carrots, pumpkin, green onion, plant-based meat, shitake mushrooms, soy sauce, miso, ginger, cashew milk. (We added an egg.) Floored by how beautiful it was. You'd take a bite and immediately appreciate how each vegetable is cut so thin and cooked to a perfect texture. Next, have a sip of the broth and the nutty cashew milk broth is unlike any ramen broth I've ever had. So warm and comforting. I wish there was a similar vegan bowl like this in Toronto! TERIYAKI RICE BOWL This well-balanced teriyaki chicken don captured me. The base is purple rice which I LOVE. The chicken was tender and juicy. The sauce was not overpowering, but light and nuanced. And the veggies, avocado and jammy egg just forms the perfect bowl. Delicious and nutritious, it satisfied all my senses. JAPANESE CURRY with a depth of flavour that keeps you returning for more! The sauce was so balanced and nuanced; it's both sweet and savoury. And soaked up with that satisfying purple rice. ONIGIRI (also made with purple rice)! Their onigiri combo includes two onigiri of your choice and a (really great) miso soup! DAIFUKU & MOCHI Do not sleep on their traditional desserts! I was pleasantly surprised at their daily offerings. Especially ones with seasonal fresh fruit! Really enjoyed them.

Finally! A decent Chinese buffet in Sudbury!…read more I have spent a lot of time searching for a good Chinese buffet in Sudbury! This one is awesome! Excellent food and service! I don't usually base a review on chicken balls, but wow! I have avoided them for years.. usually a ball of breading with a piece of chicken waved over it. These are delicious! Fresh, tender chicken with just a thin layer of crispy coating! And the honey garlic spare ribs.... Usually they come as a mess of bone and gristle with a thin layer of something meat like. At this restaurant, they give you something to sink your teeth into! I could easily fill up on these! And the rest of the food was fantastic.... Don't let the older setting of the building fool you.. my own kitchen is 50 years old, but I can produce some great food ( or so my wife, kids and grandkids tell me) A wonderful food experience that we will be returning to !
