If you get the corners you have a 180 degree at minimum. This is early fall so not much snow caps but any other time would be even more amazing. Even without a reservation, it was easy enough to get a seat outside. That said, the service was a bit anemic, with drinks coming out a bit on the slow side, and even with the language barrier, our waiters were pretty impersonal. The drink selection is okay, but at like other spots in town, the cocktails were a bit too sweet, with the liquor barely detectable. The beer selection is light as well, with only the standard lagers and wheat beers available. While the drinks weren't quite on point, it was the food that was very disappointing. Aside from the cost (the food here is definitely more expensive...you are paying for the view), the quality was quite poor. I went with the honey-braised pork belly, which was a quite large cut but was also way, way overcooked. As such, it was difficult to cut the meat, and eating the slices of meat were difficult as well. The sauce was generic (not infused with honey at all), making the whole plate a chewy, flavorless mess. My wife's duck leg was better-flavored, but for something that is apparently cooked sous vide, it was way too tough - overcooked just like the pork belly. In all, the meal was not worth anything close to the approximately 30 euros per entree that we paid. The view is great - and there's nothing like being right in line of the eastbound takeoff for the airport - but the quality of the food is so low, especially for the price, that I can't recommend anyone eating here in good faith.

The mattress was definitely one the best I have slept on in hotels and toiletries were top notch. Super clean. The lobby is stunning and so inviting. The roof top is a great spot to see the city and if you can enjoy their afternoon tea it's great and definitely great way to unwind the afternoon. So much of this hotel is 5 stars including the variety, amenities, luxury, and staff. This historic hotel is filled with a variety of eateries, entertainment including a movie theater, and the Blue Spa which includes massage rooms, saunas, steam rooms, plunge bath, swimming pool, juice bar and a gym. The staff was courteous and pleasant, always greeting us with a smile. In the morning, the breakfast served on the 6th floor, which is not complimentary, was overflowing with a surplus of options that puts most American breakfasts to shame. We worked out at the gym or jogged through English Garden. We showered back at the hotel then while at breakfast, housekeeping tidied up our room and made the bed. In the evening when we returned the bathrooms were freshened up again, the beds were turned down, and the curtains were drawn shut. Another example of excellent customer service, The Garden was closing but the staff went above and beyond to coordinate with the Trader Vic staff to use service elevators in the kitchen to get someone in our group with a wheelchair down to the restaurant that was still open. It was a really amazing experience. I felt rich for a week! Everyday we were there we found something new, this hotel is huge! The fifth star - I made the review 4 stars because I have some honest feedback to consider, July 2025... the construction is terrible, really confusing with the elevator situation. We were not the only guest having trouble with this. Also we wish the menus had more vegan options across the board. The city of Munich is very 21st century and vegan friendly, the Bayerischer isn't quite there yet and needs to explore some new plant-based options! Maybe dark chocolates at turndown and vegan macarons at arrival??? It's the little things that would make a huge difference. We did appreciate the oat and soy drink options at breakfast but we did have to send back the coffee twice because the coffee was mixed with oat milk and topped with dairy milk foam.
