KIRKLAND has always had a different feel to it, that was full of enjoyable inventory that ranged from many different feel good touches, as well as warm and inviting. They had a lot of inventory but again I felt more like I was in Pier 1. That's not a bad thing. I liked PIER 1, but KIRKLAND was different, not so much at this point! They stop you every couple of minutes asking if you need help with anything which I guess is fine but it's like every 2 minutes and I was just trying to look. They also ask you multiple times every 10 minutes if you need a changing room when you can obviously tell I am still looking. When you respond saying no they ask again "Are you sure?" Also when you are ready to get a changing room they come into the large space where the changing rooms are located. I was with my friend and when I came out to show her the skirt I found, one of the staff said, "I don't think that's for you" and then said "I wouldn't wear it with that shirt." I was wearing my tee shirt that I wore into the store and I wasn't going to walk out with just my bra. You shouldn't give unsolicited negative fashion advice to people. They are a little pricey but totally worth it because they are the soy candles (basically saying they aren't cheap-o candles and you can also use it as a lotion when the wax is hot, good idea right?) :) The manager here is A-Maz-ing! Her name is Brittany and she calls around to their other stores for me because I want a size her store is out of. She has done this at least 5 times and within a day it's at the store. In fact, I had FOMO over a pair of Vol earrings I loved on my first visit, stopped back in a few days later and they had sold. She said "oh, well let me make you a pair right now." She didn't end up having all of the parts on hand but took my number to call when she was able to make a pair. What great service! Also cool, they do weekend craft workshops that are super affordable. She spreads the craft options on the entry table with prices listed and you tell her what one you want to work on. You can get $5 crafts for kids while you do a $40. Many craft places have a blanket price of $60 and up, regardless of age or project, which I know would deter me from bringing my kids. They also sell wooden DIY craft kits to bring home. They supply everything but the paint. There were many options.

They do not have pricing on a lot of items so I had to ask employees pricing. For a thing of 2 sticky note pads, nothing huge was $8, wow.. I can get a whole case on Amazon for that price. The store is very similar to visiting a used car lot. They were listed online as "in stock." I texted to make sure they were in stock and was assured they were. They told me the price which was $10 more than the listed price. First red flag, but not a deal breaker. Went to the store and saw the chairs in person, asked to purchase four. The salesperson said they were "in the warehouse" and he'd "have to check if the owner will break up the set." The set? They are listed as single chairs. He promptly came back and said no, it's 3-4 weeks for them to order the chairs. Huh? I asked for four chairs before coming in! We left and purchased chairs elsewhere. Furniture quality is meh, I'll stick to Ethan Allen. We don't mind ordering and waiting. We do mind inquiring and being told misinformation to get us to drive to the store. Our time is valuable too!

He wouldn't give any specific "sale" information which I found off putting as it was Black Friday. He left us to browse and upon picking out a couch, bed set and dining table set Sarge was unable to ever specify what type of deal he could give and brought out a 1950's calculator and a tiny notepad and proceeded to do his "numbers" which took easily 15-20 minutes. l've never experienced this in any of the previous visits l've mentioned. When he was finished he had overcharged on the bedroom set so my son said he would pass on it and Sarge was annoyed and said, well I guess I'll have to start all over! There was some good natured haggling over the final price and "Sarge" took offense and immediately became very rude and condescending. Following this exchange I went and purchased wall art of which I have the match to, and let the front desk and another salesperson, Neal, know how rude Sarge had become and I wouldn't give him a penny of my money. My daughter-in-law requested Neal finish up the paperwork rather than Sarge and he flew into a fit cussing at Neal. He then stomped by me and my daughter and said "f"&$king" people!! It was so completely shocking and unbelievable that none of us responded but we did make Neal aware. He was extremely apologetic but it didn't negate an awful experience for my family. This review comes almost a week and 1/2 later as we've still yet to be contacted with an apology by management and our Google reviews are being hidden.
