Do not hire William Hoskovec if you need dependable representation in a contested family law…read morematter. In my experience, when my case became most critical, I experienced conflict with my own attorney and was then left without representation at a crucial stage. I am still dealing with the consequences of that today. His withdrawal left me at a serious disadvantage in my case and, in my view, worked to the benefit of the opposing party rather than my own. I was left feeling unsupported and deeply disappointed. I also think it is important for prospective clients to understand that many of the older 5-star reviews appear to date back to the period when the firm operated as Cortez & Hoskovec, before Ms. Cortez retired. My own experience changed significantly after that transition. Around the same time the firm became Sandia Family Law, my relationship with Mr. Hoskovec became increasingly contentious, and he eventually withdrew from representing me during a critical stage of my case.
