We are from NYC, we flew into Berlin to run a marathon...and while we were en route to see some…read morefriends in Munich, we found this amazing little hidden gem. It was a short (2 stops on the U bahn from where we stayed) Though it is on a side street, it was NOT hard to find. Just google map it! We wanted Vietnamese food (I am from Saigon, Vietnam originally)....OMG food was so fantastic here!!! So pleasantly surprised, it was better & more authentic than the Vietnamese food in NYC. Who would've guessed, in a small city near Nurnberg, there is such great food. It's a "mom & pop" family owned restaurant. So the own gave us free shots of his homemade herbal/ medicinal wine, it was so smooth & strong, lol I was super surprised & happy. If you are near by....this is a must go pit-stop for food, if you like authentic Vietnamese food. Must order the duck!!!!! And we also had the pho, as well as the summer rolls We will come back tomorrow to try the handmade dim sum!

So we went there on a evening on a weekday. The place was totally empty. But again relying on the reviews that are already written here, we decided to give it a try. A lot of different Thai and Vietnamese options in menu. I had a Saigon Beer, which was OK, as it contains Malt and Rice. I am not a fan of Malt. Normally Thai Beers like Singha is made of Rice.. But still was not a bad choice. Overall the drinks menu was not much to offer. We ordered chicken soup, Chicken kum pao and Duck chop suey. All the dishes were delicious. The chicken was tender and duck properly fried.Overall with all these dishes and beer it cost us around 20 Euros for 2 persons, which was just perfect. The prices are less, but the quality and taste of food was surely not compromised. The service was quick and the lady (probably the owner) was friendly. Overall surely worth going for good food with normal price range.

Well, what can a say.... The food is great, I've eaten here a few times and everything I've tried…read morehas been really good. But today it was a disaster, we had a table for four at 18:30 on a Saturday night. Sat down and found it was very cold in the restaurant. Oh well nothing that a quick drink won't solve, I ordered a gin tonic and my wife a cocktail. After a while the waitress returned to inform us it's very busy they are not serving mixed drinks????? The place only sits 22 people when it's full and there are only four other adults there, who knows. All four of us order starters and main courses. Three starters arrive and we are told the fourth is out?? Not to worry the food is great. Hardly get half way through my tasty starter and the main courses arrives. We put a brave face on it and enjoy our food on a very full little table. The table is cleared and it's proudly announced that we can now order a gin tonic, yippee we'll have three, thanks. After some time a man comes to the table and asked about how to make a gin tonic, it can happen, my friend goes with him to give a hand. Unfortunately he returns with only one, the gin has run out. As an alternative we order a beer and a glass of wine. One sip of wine later at 20:00 a waitress turns up not to ask about desserts but to tell us we should leave because people are waiting for our table???? So if you like good food but don't care about the cold, very limited choice of drinks and like to eat out on Saturday nights for no longer than 90 minutes this is the place to go. Insider tip take your own bottle of gin.
