HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!…read more
It says it is a 4 star hotel but it is far from it. Not even a 3 star.
This is the first review I have ever written and I wouldn't have written it but the hotel really pissed me off. If I chose to reserve a room based on price, pictures and reviews, then the choice is mine and I would leave it at that, but its clear that the hotel tries to deceive its customers by its pictures and in taking their patron's money.
The hotel was just renovated and it was clear that they were not ready to open. The front desk did not have information to provide when asked, and back management is horrible in customer relations.
Even though I hated staying at this hotel, some parts were good and worth mentioning.
Arrival...
We were warmly welcomed by the staff. Our bags were taken to our rooms and we were given a short tour of the hotel grounds.
Environment...
The grounds is beautiful but This place is dead. One review that I recently read said that this place is soulless and I would agree 100%. It reminded me of when Covid started and everyone was away. It was kind of eerie. No one walking around. No sounds. Pool was empty. Snack bar was empty. I asked one of the groundsman where everyone is and they just shrugged their shoulders. I went to the beach to see and I saw a couple on the lounges. It felt weird. A Ghost town.
Rooms...
Were were very clean and I must say that the cleaning crew were amazing. The rooms were recently renovated and they were beautifully decorated. Unfortunately, the rooms lacked the necessities. They offered coffee in the room but no coffee cups. We asked for cups but were denied. Telephone was not working so every time I needed something I would have to walk to the front desk. The rooms did not have Kleenex or tissue paper and when asked from the front desk, they did not have any. They couldn't provide us with a suitcase bench in the room. A "2 star" hotel would have all of these things let alone a "4 star".
Service...
Overall the service sucked. They counted every penny wherever you went.
Except the snack bar. Alex and Luna made this place enjoyable. They smiled, they were super nice and really wanted to make your stay worthwhile, unlike others.
Towels...
Even though many hotels do this, they provide tickets to obtain a beach or pool towel. I understand the need to have this control. but for god sakes, if someone loses their towel they should provide another. I left my towel in the pool and needed another and they wouldn't give me one. They wanted to charge me 30E.
Breakfast...
They told me that breakfast ends at 1030am. I went there at 1017am and the waitress told me that the kitchen is closed. I wanted a coffee to go and they told me they don't do that and I can't take a coffee outside the restaurant. What 4 star hotel does this?
The breakfast menu is very limited. A few items on the menu and they so called buffet is not really a buffet. You have to ask to get something from the counter and it felt like I was begging for another piece.
Snack Bar...
Like I said the snack bar was the only place that was redeemable about this hotel. The snack runs from certain times but they provide lunch at certain time and it closes and reopens. It's all very confusing. When I wanted a pizza they said I couldn't order it. When I wanted something else they said I couldn't order it. only from this hour to another hour. Not to mention that the snack bar menu is super limited.
Restaurant...
This hotel has one restaurant to choose from. It is expensive at 80E per person and the food is mediocre. If you don't want to dine there then your choices are walk across the street to DaGianna or get a taxi for 75E each way.
Pool...
The pool is beautiful and serene. The problem is no one is in it. It looks dead. There is no food service even though the snack bar is adjacent to it.
Beach...
Beach is gorgeous but also dead. No food service either.
Overall this place is HORRIBLE. Pictures do not show the atmosphere and it is soulless. I strongly suggest not to go.
