William is AMAZING. If you need any landscaping, he's the one. We have a 1 acre pond on our property built in the late 1950's that had been filling in with silt for the last 60 years. We hired Tucker to dig it deeper and shape it into the perfect pond that we could stock with fish. He did an oustanding job, despite the number of times we had to put the project on hold because the pond would dry up and then it would rain and get muddy again. Ug! (it should be noted that he honored his original quote, despite the number of times Mother Nature foiled our plans) He's very professional, nice as can be, and really has a vision for what you're looking for. He also really cares about the project. Our pond has a very established wetland around one side where all the wildlife (frogs, salamanders, turtles, birds, etc.) make their homes. William was very careful to not upset the ecosystem of our beautiful pond in the process of making it a good 8 feet deeper. He left the trees we wanted, and took out the ones we didn't. I really liked that, seeing as the last estimates we got, we were told either "it can't be done", or "we're going to have to tear all of this out". Horse feathers! William did it, exactly like we wanted. He has vision. He's your guy! read more

Look no further...THIS is the guy to use! We were blown away with William's level of competency, dedication to doing the job RIGHT, extensive experience, and most of all, his level of integrity and HONESTY. We had misunderstood something and were about to pay him several thousand dollars when he explained that the amount had been covered in what we had already paid. Frankly, we never would have known. We eagerly look forward to engaging him again to do our next project planned for later this year. Nearly every time we drive up our LONG driveway my husband mentions what a terrific job William did. Couldn't be more pleased...happy to spread the word we have the BEST excavation/landscape/drainage guy around and he's local. YES! read more

History

Established in 1995.

I started out cutting grass and small landscaping. Built a reputation for good work. Added a dozer, tractor and started doing dirtwork. Found that was what I loved doing and good at it. Throughout the years built up a good group of contractor and residential customers. 2011 had to go to part time to take care of elderly parent and recently both parents. I wouldnt change it. Plus that allows me to take the time a job needs to be done correctly. Update, I am working full time now. Anything I can help with please give me a call. Thankyou, William, Tucker

On at least six different occasions, he told us he would be out the next day, but he never showed. Eventually, he admitted he was out of money and dealing with legal trouble. To make matters worse, his subcontractors later came directly to us because he didn't pay them, and two separate equipment rental companies contacted us to retrieve their equipment after Chase either wrote bad checks or failed to pay. What was supposed to be a 4-day job dragged out for 8 weeks, and in the end we had to hire another company to tear out or correct the vast majority of his work and finish the project properly--at additional cost to us. I would strongly caution anyone considering working with him.

We required WM Tucker's services when our basement would not stop flooding. The way our house is on a downhill slope, we had found ourselves sitting in a lake every time there was a flood rain. They have completely excavated our land to where the water will roll away from the house. They clearly were no strangers to hard work and seemed very knowledgeable about what the property needed. Mr. Tucker looked around for a day and drew up a diagram and explained to us fully what needed to be done and why. He has said if we experience any more problems we are welcome to call him, and his estimate was the lowest of the 3 that we got so we were pleased with what we paid for the work. 5 stars from us! ~Stinson Family read more

I had to give serious thought to this rating…read more I called Kings Lawn Service three times on 8/12/15. The first time a man answered the phone and was acting very strange, then hung up on me. I called back and there was no answer. I called back again and this time voicemail picked up my call. It said I had reached Eric Cavender of Kings Lawn Care. I left my name, number, where I was calling from (I'm sure he might think me calling from NYC for something in Nashville might be strange), and exactly why I was calling. I have yet to hear back from Eric Cavender, who for his website is the owner of Kings Lawn Service. I have to assume that landscaping and lawn care in Nashville TN is so booming that he may have dismissed me as probably not worth his time or energy to even call me back. Mr. Cavender may have made a good buck off of me had he returned the call, but that will not happen now. The reason I called Kings Lawn Service was because he was close to where my best friend lives and I thought the convenience of that would be good for him and me alike. I had to trust that his credentials on his website would be accurate. My best friend was turning 50 and she was going to be out of town for her birthday. It was the perfect setup for me to give her something that she hates doing....lawn beautification. I know her front yard area could use some TLC, so I thought this would be an amazing gift for her to come back and see her yard cleaned up, new bushes, new plants and mulching. If I had just received a return phone call this review would not have been written. Mr. Cavender was left a detailed message as to why I was calling so I have to assume that this is not the first time customers have been ignored. Kings Lawn Service has no rating with the Better Business Bureau. His website is kingslawncare.net
