They were from the start honest and straight to the point. I finally was able to pop in and have them look at my ring to see if possible. They told me yes, left it with them, and to come back the following day. When I got my ring, which again I have had since my now husband proposed back in 2013, it looked fresh and new (the same way it did back then). The soldering looks amazing and the ring feels great. If you do this, you'll be fine. For instance, I took a 90 day loan and when the ticket said "Maturity Date November 29," I knew what that meant . That is to say, I had to pay the loan or get in touch with them to renew the loan, or they could keep my jewelry and resell it. Since I understood those clearly stated written terms, I was sure to stay on top of this and called them on the maturity date to let them know I did not yet have the money to pay my loan. When I pawned the jewelry, I dealt with an employee, but this time I asked to talk to the owner, Brian. I explained that I was deeply ashamed at having to pawn things for loans, but that I had recently contracted a devastating illness and was on disability (which, let me tell you, means one is on a very limited income). He was very empathetic and said that of course he would not sell my jewelry and, moreover, he had no problem renewing the loan for another 90 days until I got on my feet. After our phone conversation, I went to Perfect Pawn to renew my ticket and met Brian in person, shook hands, and made a nice connection with him because, well, he is a nice guy. He wishes his customers no ill will and understands that people only pawn possessions because they've fallen on hard times (ie, in my case I became disabled). My impression is that he wants to be decent to his customers, while at the same time he is in the business of giving loans for interest. You must pay the interest and he is honest about stating those terms. If you abide by the terms, he will treat you right. In short, I found him to be fair and trustworthy -- which are 2 words we do not ordinarily associate with pawn shops, but in this case I do. Perfect Pawn is a fair and trustworthy business.
