My fiancé and I are incredibly happy that we chose Eric Fung to be the photographer for our big day. I was recommended to him by my fellow coworker that knew him back in college and I was very impressed with his photography displayed on his blog and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/WmEricImages). He was very responsive over email and Facebook and quickly set up to meet Eric over a lovely dinner in Oakland. He was very professional and brought in his printed collection of his favorite photographs, examples of his wedding albums, and iPad of all his archived engagement/wedding sessions. Eric just gleams enthusiasm and can talk for hours of how he picked up wedding photography and his stories from all the weddings he has shot. We have yet to work with Eric for our wedding next year, but I can already attest to how much care and effort he puts into his work after he shot our engagement session! He and his assist Jason Ku spent 4-5 hrs with us driving all over San Francisco finding the perfect locations for a photo session. We started near Fort Point under the Golden Gate Bridge, then Crissy Fields, then the battery lookout in the Presidio, Sutro Baths, Lands End, and Yerba Buena Gardens at the Metreon! Eric really knows how to use lighting in his photography and pose us to look like models on a fashion shoot! Eric can photography in any time of day and challenging situations, thinking on the fly. He quickly posted a few engagement teasers the next day and posts new ones everyday. Hiring Eric was the best decision I made for my wedding day!!! He was amazing from the beginning to the end. Him and his assistant, Brian arrived early and walked in full of smiles!!! I love that! Eric didn't ask questions, he just started to shoot. Being that the morning can be so hectic, it was nice seeing him just jump in and capture the day. Very Professional! My husband is not a fan of being photographed but Eric made him so comfortable that he was happy to take pics all the way til after sunset!! Eric was the photographer for our wedding and we could not have had a better experience. Although we were getting married in NorCal we live in SoCal and booked Eric without meeting. He was so responsive to our emails we were comfortable hiring him without meeting. He then came to our rehearsal just to meet us and take some practice shots of the venue. He even sent us a few before the wedding which was so wonderful. Then he had a small slide show ready for us within a couple days. He and his assistant were professional and fun. I joked with my husband that "WM Eric Images" should be renamed "WM Epic Images." We found Eric based on a friend's recommendation. When we saw his portfolio, we were blown away by how unique his images were and how he used a wide variety of lenses. My husband is an avid photographer himself, and we were willing to spend money on our photos. We were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable Eric's packages were given how amazing his work was. we had an amazing engagement shoot during a windstorm. Eric and his associate painstakingly set up each shot and braved the elements to get us some epic images. the wedding day itself was a bit of a madhouse given our 300+ guest list and ginormous family, so we had decided from the get go to do a "trash the dress" session after our honeymoon. this freed up our time for a lot of obligatory group photos (where you can see everyone's face!! no one was hidden!), and bridal party photos. we had a few traditional ones, but a lot of unique and crazy ones too that are more fun loving and reflective of us and our friends. finally, our trash the dress shoot this past weekend was AMAZING. we've only gotten a sneak peek so far, but we can't wait to see the rest. he creatively set up a shoot for us because he knew how we were goofy and loved photography. he also was willing to trek into the marshes and on the rocky shoreline with us (and his thousands of dollars worth of camera equipment!) to capture unique shots. it was such a fun experience and so much more laid back than our wedding day since we had all the time in the world. 3 shoots, and we haven't had a bad experience yet. instead, we have many epic photos of ourselves =) Thanks Eric! read more

Eric was so wonderful! By the end of our first meeting I felt like we became friends. Extremely easy to work with! Eric works with his assistant and were so creative and helpful all day long. His metric preferences for off flashes make for the most ideal image. After our engagement session with Eric, I knew that our wedding photos would be like a fairy tale. He had the ability to show us what to do and making us look like models. I can't express how amazing his work is. Beware of the non excited, nor ambitious and stubborn photographers. Eric is the opposite, he will do anything to take a shot and frame for the perfect angle. He is super energetic and will work with your ideas. Every time I look at the photos from my wedding I am blown away. They are stunning! Eric turned my wife and myself into models. Eric is a very friendly guy and very easy to work with. He is very passionate about his photography. He just keeps working until he gets the perfect shots. He stayed the entire night at our wedding and he spent about 4 or 5 hours going all over San Francisco with us for our engagement photos. We only found Eric because another very popular photographer was unavailable and recommended that we check him out. I'm appalled that there aren't more reviews for Eric! Eric was our wedding photographer this past weekend and he was simply amazing! While doing our research, we met a few photographers and Eric stuck out in the best way possible. He's very responsive over emails and very friendly in person, but more importantly his passion for photography showed through during our meeting. We liked his energy (and his competitive packages) so we grabbed him ASAP. On the day of our engagement session, we were able to confirm that Eric was the right choice. We was attentive and creative and funny and tried really hard to get us to loosen up and have some fun. We made him trek all around San Francisco, hiking up hills and getting pelted by sand on Ocean Beach. Our photos turned out more amazing than I could have ever imagined! On the day of the wedding, Eric was very patient and took all the craziness in stride. He was all about making us happy and making sure we got the shots we wanted. Eric was the photographer for our wedding. He was excellent! He took the time to get to know us during our first meeting, and took even more time to get to know our personalities during our engagement shoot. During the beginning of our engagement session my wife and i were nervous, but in a very shot amount of time and with coaching from Eric, we became more and more comfortable, he was great and the pictures were amazing! He set the really bar high for himself that day, and we were expecting lots for the day of the wedding! and that day he set the bar even higher! Eric is the ultimate pro when it comes to wedding photography. Where to start...? First off is his portfolio of shots, both on his website and what he showed us in our in person meeting. His photos are excellent and capture the mood of the event/shot. Next, the engagement shoot . After shooting at several places that were memorable to us, he was able to throw out several other locations that were suitable and that we liked. Also during this shoot, he spent more time with us than initially agreed upon to make sure we got all the shots we wanted. Heck, he was willing to crawl on his stomach and roll around on the ground in order to get the perfect shot. He was willing to stand in crazy places, risking himself to help us get our photos. If that isn't dedication, I don't know what is. During our wedding, he took a lot of shots while the bride was getting ready, when we were at the church/ceremony, and when we were at our after ceremony location. It was a lot of fun working with him. He had us stand in many creative poses and his eye for setting up shots is second to none. Everyone in the bridal party loved how engaging and funny he was while we were getting photos taken. In my book, Eric is a 12 on a scale of 1-5 stars. read more
