After receiving an estimate for the repairs from a local auto shop, Alex suddenly no longer had video of the damage. He then insisted that I file a claim with his insurance company and was dishonest with his insurance company to ensure that they would deny the claim. At this time, he is refusing to cover any cost related to the damage and I am left with damage on my vehicle. He has reported that he will cover the damages if I take my car to a specific auto shop that he prefers, though I of course cannot trust that the auto shop is reputable nor can I trust that he will actually cover the costs. Given this experience, I would recommend choosing to work with a company who has integrity.
