Came by here to buy a computer which I needed to do some emergency work on, after my laptop was fucking STOLEN at gare du nord (tourists, please keep an eye on your things).
Anyways, I came by here actually intending on dropping by a computer store just next door, but I found out that it was actually selling high end gaming equipment, rather than run of the mill computers. So, my locating WL International was completely accidental. Anyways, I needed a computer and I was given a pretty good price for a decent computer here, since it only came out to about $200 dollars USD.
The great thing about this place though was the work that they put into the extra service. This computer had been programmed to run in french- that means all the stuff regarding system preferences, applications... all aspects of this thing were french. As a result, I told them that I couldn't use it since I wasn't confident in my ability to install the service. They told me they would help me install an English version operating system, but told me it could take some time since they weren't 100% sure how to do it. Well, it wound up taking them the better part of like 3 hours, but in the end they managed to complete the task. On one hand, I feel like it shouldn't have been that complicated of a task- on the other, I feel like they worked quite hard on it (I was there throughout the whole process) and therefore clearly saw that they tried their best. Regardless, I was impressed with their dedication to the task, and might pop by here again the next time I'm in Paris. read more
