Tonight we were looking forward to SWAT but some idiot weatherman with all his toys pre-emptied it and we saw about 10 minutes in the middle. This kind of thing happens very often and they make no attempts to adjust or replay the episodes. And if you are using a DVR because you'll be gone just forget it! we like a couple of their shows but now refuse to be cheated out of them by old technology.

Holy smokes, what a tragic attempt at the English language in general. Her constant mispronunciations, reordering of syllables, and odd speech patterns make it virtually impossible to make sense of whatever the heck she's saying. A friend actually ran 2 different English to English translation algorithms of a recording of her voice, and several times there was the AI version of "WTF was that!" It's pretty obvious, that the HR department and other people responsible for hiring on-air employees, don't look at an audition tape or give them an actual tryout. This seems to be a pattern in the Wisconsin stations of the company, as they hired a similar train wreck to do the weather in La Crosse last year (and boy, you shoulda seen that winner!) I can no longer watch the early morning local news on weekends, do to the frustrating delivery of the reader, and am likely not alone on this. James E La Crosse

To think that I might interact with people like this on a daily basis makes my skin crawl. When I emailed the news station to complain, I was told that they were "working on it". That was 3 weeks ago. If you go visit WKOW's site now, you can see that they aren't really doing anything about it at all. How embarrassing that a local news station cannot even manage to moderate their comments section and delete the hate speech within.

I was impressed to see that not only do anchors report, but they also film & produce. I had no idea how much each person does at a news station! I recently had to go on air for a live interview & was terrified! I had never been on the news, let alone a LIVE interview. Jeannie was nothing but nice & reassuring, which helped calm my nerves & let me focus on what I wanted to get across. They report the good & bad of Rockford, but also make sure to promote all the positives that Rockford has to offer. I hear a lot of complaints that Rockford is boring or extremely dangerous, but I'd suggest you watch WREX every once in awhile to catch fun, local activities & stories! I look forward to tuning into WREX for my local news fix & look forward to working with them in the future!
