Get rid of the big brown gal on the weekend morning news!! This chick started a few months back as an intern of sorts, and hasn't gotten ANY better since then. Holy smokes, what a tragic attempt at the English language in general. Her constant mispronunciations, reordering of syllables, and odd speech patterns make it virtually impossible to make sense of whatever the heck she's saying. A friend actually ran 2 different English to English translation algorithms of a recording of her voice, and several times there was the AI version of "WTF was that!"
It's pretty obvious, that the HR department and other people responsible for hiring on-air employees, don't look at an audition tape or give them an actual tryout. This seems to be a pattern in the Wisconsin stations of the company, as they hired a similar train wreck to do the weather in La Crosse last year (and boy, you shoulda seen that winner!)
I can no longer watch the early morning local news on weekends, do to the frustrating delivery of the reader, and am likely not alone on this.
