This hot Texas weather always makes a stop for a sno-cone a necessity!! Staff is always friendly. Wizard's Sno-Cones has been around forever, and whenever I'm on the South Side, I try to make it a point to stop by. They've got some of the best shaved ice in town with tons of flavors to choose from, and their snacks are always on point--nachos, Hot Cheetos with cheese, corn in a cup, and more. **Note : Cash only and parking can be tight, but it's absolutely worth the stop if you're in the area. read more

Been coming here for years, yes prices vary obviously due to inflation, but still super cheap and wallet friendly! I cannot complain at all. The snacks are always amazing, my snowcone was a hit in this hot weather. The service is always on point and friendly. ONLY downfall people may say is that they are cash only. read more

Wizard has been around for a very long time . They have some of the best authentic snow cones you can get in San Antonio. My favorite is the Tiger and the root beer and I like the fact that you can get a scoop of ice cream in your Snow-cone. They also have some very good snacks as well. If you're in the area this is a must stop for a cool refreshing treat. . read more

Been coming here for years. Always great flavors for snow cones, nachos are delicious, cucumbers with chili are to die for! Parking is not great and it can get packed on a hot Texas summer day but always worth the wait. read more

I have been coming here since I was a kid that lived in the neighborhood. After swimming at South Side Lions Pool my mom would park in the front of the place, make me and my sister wait outside to order as she waited in the a/c car, and grabbed our shaved ice snow cones. Always a little wait but definitely worth it all in the end. Cash only as far as I know and sometimes, especially on hot days in the summer there can be a wait, but just chill out and read ALLLLLL of the flavors and food they have on their menu plastered in front of the ordering windows. read more

If I want a snowcone, there is ONLY one place I will go. I will wait in your long ass lines and get attacked by bees because this is the BEST snowcone; perfect size and pure, uncut syrup. We all had silver teeth as kids because of Wizards read more

I grew up enjoying these raspas so I figured I would introduce my husband to the treat. Not a great experience at all - what is the point of listing flavor combinations if workers don't speak to explain what they are. Hopefully, this was a one off visit. I'll try Gorillaz next time first. read more

Drove from Stone Oak area to come get some bomb ass cochinadas, and we pull up at 9:15 and they're closed. The sign clearly says till 10pm. And myself and another vehicle pulled in and found that out. Very disappointed customer! And I've been coming here for decades! Come on guys!!! read more

This place can get packed quick. The parking is not paved so it can be hard to find a spot. It's worth the wait though. This is SHAVED ICE, not crushed ice. Now-a-days people think a raspa is crushed ice... no.... I want shaved ice. And Snow Wizard gives us exactly that. I ordered a Mangonada, it was amazing. The sizes definitely vary, so I would ask to see what a S,M,L look like. The frito pie is delicious, full of chili and cheese. The prices are decent. Definitely going to be coming back. Especially with Summer around the corner. read more

I used to hit this place when worked on the South-Side. I remembered it while cruising San Antonio on Memorial Day. Snow Wizard has all your favorite old school snacks: Shaved Ice snow cones, Mexican corn with all the trimmings, nachos, Frito pies, and hot Cheetos with cheese. Snow Wizard is real hot spot on the South side; expect to wait at least 20mins during peak times. But the taste is so worth it. They put a lot of syrup on their snow cones, and have many flavors margarita is my favorite. They also offer flavors with leche which is are my wife's favorites. The Frito Pies with cheese are awesome at Snow Wizard. Snow Wizard's prices are perfect for repeat visits all week long. The parking is not the best, but its a snack stand not a restaurant. I give Snow Wizard 5 stars for having great snow cones and snacks. read more

Ahh the almighty Wizard! An oasis on the SE side for those who want a raspa, mangonada, Frito pie, pickle, changos, nachos, etc. The best part is no long lines like at Big Daddy's. Wait over an hour in a long line at Big Daddy's for their overhyped raspas and whatnot? Ain't nobody got time for that! The lemonade is freshly squeezed and the raspas are good and very affordable. You can get a tiny one for just $2.50, be satisfied with what you get and still have change leftover. The lady at the counter doesn't speak good English so be patient. You might be lucky enough to have someone who can translate or just have an English-Spanish dictionary or better, a translation app on your smartphone in handy. read more

Amazing, delicious and super affordable. They've been there for YEARS and I have always enjoyed going there for the best cool treats!

So I really wanted a picadilly & this place has the best ones, but they are too lazy to stay open till 10pm ! I drove all the way from the other side and they were closing an hour early ! read more

Bang for your buck! I love the snow cones here! They can even add ice cream to the center. Ya it's a lot of junk food but hmmm it hits the spot. Everytime I go there's a line but I don't mind waiting, actually I don't think anyone does. read more

No lie, the BEST frito pie in SA...killer raspas and yummo corn in a cup, and you cant beat the prices either! I suggest you go early afternoon and be careful on weekend nights, this place is popular! It is a small stand so sometes the wait is long....plan on picking up and taking home or just eat in your car. 4 stars only because of the wait..just too damn hot in TX to stand outside with no shade! read more

You know when it's in the 90's and you pull up to a shaved ice place and people are happily standing in line for 30 minutes that the place is good. Everything is well priced, served with care and is very tasty. My party had three different flavors, my favorite was the wild cherry. I can't wait to go back to try others. The nachos looked really good as well. read more

This place never disappoints. No matter what you get it's always good. My favorite is the snow cones with ice cream inside. At first I was skeptical about ice cream and ice being mixed but it's actually very good! My favorite flavors are piña colada and blue Hawaiian. Try it you won't regret it! read more
