I was there for about an hour and was so impressed by all the vintage copies of classics-- from American to British to Russian to Chinese classic literature, this place has a bit of everything. One time I missed the shop hours and arrived 10 minutes after he closed, I called while he was still inside and he allowed me to make a purchase!! I have a rule when it comes to bookshops, I will always support my local bookstore before I go to a big name retailer, and I will not purchase books on Amazon or any other online store. I also am grateful that my local library is just a few blocks from me too.

This is a great used bookstore located inside the Quincy Public Library. Most paperback books are…read more$1 each, and they often have some books on sale for 50 cents or half price. There are romance, science fiction, and other novels as well as non-fiction books and cookbooks. There are even some audiobooks and DVDs. The books and items sold are from donations and older library inventory. They also make coffee, hot chocolate and cappucino for cheap. Proceeds benefit the library.
