Top marks!!!!!! So…read morethis is a local store. I always look forward to digging here. Hard to say what I like best about it. If you are not-too-picky and willing to hunt around, this store is a gem. It has been in business forever. The building is ancient. The upstairs: foreboding. When I was a kid I'd call in to radio contests once in awhile and if you won you had to go claim the album in person. Quad Cities, Galesburg, and here - Burlington, at Weird Harold's. Very large collection of all genres. I routinely find a record here that blows my mind, that it was sitting on the shelf. For who knows how long. Pricing is excellent. Pls don't listen to the fool who complained about prices and political hats. Who cares. It's about the music, period. Yep-new albums are pricey. Welcome to reality. But the used records are priced very well. I have only once asked for them to relook a price and they agreed. Their pricing may be creeping upward but not by much. I encourage y'all to bring in your old records that you don't want so that those who are collecting can buy them...

(or any month for that matter) WEIRD HAROLD'S I have been here twice and both times i almost got lost in the upstairs record collection. There are 4 parts of this store, the first floor has a collection of CD's and some art and framed posters, the 2nd section is half way up the stairs and it is apparently a place to do your own pottery. Haven't checked that out yet but it could be fun. Continue up the stairs to see a GIANT collection of costumes, most of them for rental. If you're two hours away from here and have a costume party to go to, this is the place to go, it didn't seem expensive, like 25 to 50 bucks for a 5 day rental and then you don't clutter your closet with a Mr Potatohead costume. Finally to the right of that is the equally giant collection of records... I don't know you're taste so i won't say they have EVERYTHING but i was finding comedy albums that aren't even on CD. ENJOY Weird Harold's easily one of my favorite places in Burlington.

It's pretty empty ngl. The stores you'd probably be there for are Bath And Body Works, Marshall's,…read moreClaire's or the theater. The theater is nice, always clean and friendly staff. Bath And Body Works has quite the scent collection, especially for this fall already. Bath And Body Works also is a bit bombarding, meaning the staff have to come up to you and force small talk, then proceed to tell you every scent you smell is their favorite. Claire's is Claire's, earrings, lip smackers and iPhone cases. Claire's is a 12yrs dream if you have children it's a great stocking stuffer store. Marshall's is a homestore filled with coffee syrups, pillows, blankets and kitchenware. They also have clothes (men/women), perfumes + cologne, makeup etc. I personally shop at Marshall's for their cleaning supplies. They have a few sport clothing stores. You'll be paying an ungodly amount for one shirt tho. Other then that they have a photo booth (always cool and $5) There's a cellphone case kiosk that's closed alot in the center. Next to there a furniture store warehouse. The warehouse is mostly mattresses and low cost couches. The mall is kind of small, but with Burlingtons shopping options it's not a complete bust. It's a nice weekend trip tbh. I recommend the mall for newcomers moving to Burlington Iowa.

The movie ended at 10pm and as we were walking out, we noticed a couple of claw machines on our way out and I gave my nephew $5 to play before we left. Well this rude lady comes from a door near the claw machines, maybe security I dunno cause she wasn't in a uniform but with a pretty ridiculous attitude she says "YOU ALL MEED TO LEAVE, the mall is closed!!" I looked at her and said "Excuse me!" And with an attitude again she said the same thing..... so I told her she ask politely without being a B! The mall should not have movies that end that late if this lady is going to harass people on their way out..... I was treating my family to a fun night and it was just nonsense how she acted. If she is part of your employment.... Maybe find someone who is actually wanting a job and considerate. Unnecessary drama for no reason. Side note- all the theater employees and the movie was amazing!!!!

A few vendors are more conscientious, and display nicely, but the owner doesn't spend too much time organizing or tidying. Be careful walking around --lots of stuff on the floor and leaning. Prices are a little high, especially for many things that are fair/poor condition--which are priced as you would expect for good/VG items. That said, I did buy some things, though not as much as I might have if the prices were lower, or more negotiable. ( They will do 10% off of items over $20, if paid by cash or check.).
