I love the concept of not having the dogs in a crate 90% of the time. The puppy actually stays with Jeanette and her family during the two week process. After the two weeks Jeanette came to my home three times for follow up (and to make sure I was doing my job correctly ). After training, walks are calm, controlled and actually enjoyable now. We can take her to Downtown Woodstock and other public spots without anxiety -- it's been a TOTAL game changer for our family. They've made house visits, spent countless hours on the phone with me, and even accompanied me to the vet to help discuss medication options. Who does that? OTCK9 does. Because we are all looking for different things I'm simply sharing a pro's and cons list from our (my and Little Leo) perspective. Pros, for us - Super kind people! Just down right nice people! - Nurturing - We've known our trainers for a full year and we really feel like part of the family! They are truly the best! Cons, for us - Calendar - I didn't ask for a holiday calendar and was surprised to learn group was often cancelled for holidays that aren't observed federally, in schools, etc. For example Sunday, 10/28 was cancelled because Halloween was Tuesday, 10/31. - Timeliness - I learned an unwritten rule is to wait until all instructors are present and a majority of that class sign up. Most of the time this is 15 to 20 minutes past start time. As a result, you're either waiting up to 20 minutes or late if others are on time. - Weather - I didn't ask what the inclement weather policy is. I suggested having make up days or even an inclement weather plan like meeting in a mixed use facility or school which come at no cost. Too bad there is lots of rain in the summer months that cause cancellations. - Communication - We understand things happen. We just expect more direct, proactive communication. For example, if trainers are running late to group, a text to all sharing that would be most appreciated by many. My recommendation would be to ask the right questions, be really clear, and get things in writing. For example, the group would take trips to the airport and work with the airline to get our pups in training through security and to the gate. I later learned is not a service available since COVID. I really wise I'd have known that they were just sharing components of the program in 2019. For us, each of the cons, commensurate with the price, won't allow me to recommend for others and we won't use them again for obedience training or me next service animal. I am certain this style works for many, and I'm sure it would exceed the expectations of some. They really are a wonderful group of people! Thank you so much Natasha, Reina, & Sable! Clearly a mixed bag with experiences here, but I would be remiss if I didn't detail out why we are…read morefans of Dogma! First, we have bringing our little dude here for about 8 months now and he absolutely loses his mind every time he walks in the door here. He genuinely seems to have a blast, and to date, we have experienced no injuries or things to concern us. Drop-Off - Fairly easy and straight forward, we bring him in, sign him in, they give him a house collar with his name on it and they take him on back. Pick-Up - Equally as easy, we sign him out, gather his belongings, pay for the day and head out the door. One reason why we chose Dogma over a few other places in the area was the space they had for Tucker to play in. They feature both indoor and outdoor spaces that are secure, safe, covered, clean and also under video surveillance. This means that we can check in on him throughout the day by going to their website and scoping the cameras. That was one big thing for us, we wanted to make sure to be able to see him to ensure he was actually enjoying himself, which he always seems to be doing here! The only draw back that we have experienced is Tucker comes home sometimes with heavy kennel odor, so he gets random baths after daycare at home more times than not. Pricing - They did recently go up on pricing, and while it is not the cheapest, it is still fairly priced at $24 for a full day and you can make that cheaper if you go with a package and pre-pay for so many visits. Additionally, Wednesday and Saturday's are discounted days at only $18 for a full day! Grooming - Another reason why we chose Dogma was the convenience of grooming they offer. We usually drop him off for daycare and schedule a bath later in the day for him - the services are fairly priced as well. Tucker LOVES when he gets a bath later in the day, because on occasion they let him hang out behind the counter with them so he doesn't go back out and ruin his freshness. This is something that I feel is really cool, as I appreciate that and as you can see from a pic of ours, Tucker does too! Service - I have never had an issue, everyone is always nice and helpful to us, and friendly and loving with Tucker. Overall, Dogma has been everything we need it to be for our little dude and will continue to be as long as we are in the Smyrna area!

Clear instructions with groomer in person a DAY prior to coming in and I shouldn't have ignored the judgement from the groomer herself (Gigi). Not only was the groom nothing I asked for, my poor child got an INFECTION from his groom. Multiple promises of people following up, of course, no one ever did. They refunded me for his groom as if that was the real issue. I would've preferred we waited until after he was seen by his doctor to speak of any monetary value. If you have to take your furbaby to the Vet you know it's well over $65 for them to be seen and treated, as I speak $250 later. Then the owner asks for the receipt from the vet, no problem. She Never spoke to me directly, asked if she could speak to his doctor as if the notes on the paperwork weren't from his doctor! As if I needed to lie! But sent them over as requested, sent pictures of the area too. Still. Nothing. It was like they wanted to be the absolute last reason for anything happening to my child. My poor baby was in pain for WEEKS. On medication for WEEKS. Couldn't sleep for WEEKS, and all I got from Dogma was the audacity. At then end of the day, Stay. Away. I wouldn't recommend this place to my biggest hater.
