And their…read moregreenhouse is HUGE...I could spend hours and hours wandering around this place, just looking at all the different plants, seeds, and starts. The layout of the greenhouse is well-planned and everything is clearly marked, so you always know what section you're in and can visually locate signs for whatever section you seek. If you buy a plant and a pot, they'll pot the plant for you while you wait. (This is a bigger deal than you might think, considering that potting a plant always involves more soil than comes in the original container. If you had to do it yourself and didn't already have a bag of soil at home, you'd need to buy some.) They also have a great selection of all the "little things" you might need, like label sticks to mark what you've planted where, little ceramic worms that test soil dryness, stakes for various climbing plants, and all shapes and sizes of post. Neat selection of garden decor, too. It's a nice big airy space that's a pleasure to explore, and you're bound to find whatever garden-related you might want. Highly recommended.

Before class we walked around and looked at the retail space, which had a lot of cute gift items and variety of jarred food products. Since it was late summer, there wasn't much in the garden center but the space was very pretty. They also had the summer clearance sale going on. I was impressed so I may make the drive next spring to check out their annuls and perennials.

My mom has been going here for years. If you didn't where to go for it, you almost wouldn't know it was there. Tucked down a dead end road in Johnston is this beautiful greenhouse! I went in just for a couple vegetables for my garden and left with more plants than I think I had places for. Well I might be back anyway. They have so much to choose from and everything was really neatly organized. Everyone was really helpful and directed me on where to find my broccoli and helped me choose the right tomatoes for us. They have lots of potting options and things to get your garden or yard going no matter how big or small. So far all my plants are still living and looking pretty good. I think I will go back for some flowering plants to try and pretty up my front yard. I am excited that I finally have time to try this place out!
